MATHEA K.E. BULANDER is an attorney at Redgrave LLP, and her legal practice is dedicated to the intersection of information technologies and the law. Ms. Bulander has counseled a diverse range of clients regarding discovery strategies and information governance issues, including assisting clients in the evaluation of their records and information management systems, and providing clients with litigation readiness advice. Her work in the area of information law focuses exclusively on e-discovery, information governance, and preservation for a wide variety of applications and electronic media, including mobile technologies and social media. Ms. Bulander serves as a council member on the Computer & Technology Law Section of Minnesota State Bar Association, is a member of The Sedona ConferenceÂ®, Working Group on Best Practices for Electric Document Retention and Production (WG-1), and the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP). She received her J.D. degree from William Mitchell College of Law (cum laude) and her B.A. degree from Macalester College.
GREGORY R. FARKAS is an attorney with Frantz Ward LLP. His practice encompasses a variety of litigation matters, including lender litigation, bankruptcy/creditor rights, and consumer claims at both the trial and appellate court levels. Mr. Farkas concentrates on class action litigation and has represented defendants in numerous class actions in state and federal courts. He earned his J.D. degree, cum laude, from University of Michigan; and his B.A. degree, with high honors, from Michigan State University. Mr. Farkas is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association and Defense Research Institute.
LESLIE A. GUTIERREZ has a passion for eDiscovery and information law. Whether drafting ESI protocols, reviewing forensic analysis, interfacing with IT professionals, drafting search protocols, overseeing large document review projects, or working on a complex case, Ms. Gutierrez enjoys approaching any task creatively, through analysis and strategic problem-solving. Clients describe her as attentive, reliable, and responsive, not just to the problem at hand, but to their overall needs and goals. Some of her recent work experience includes drafting briefs to defeat a motion to compel and a motion for sanctions for spoliation in a multi-million dollar non-compete case, providing assistance with eDiscovery matters, including overseeing review and production, preparing collection protocols, responding to motions to compel and third-party subpoenas, and producing confidential electronic information, serving a critical role on the trial team for a trade secrets case and serving as second chair in a federal jury trial on a First Amendment claim, obtaining a jury verdict in the client’s favor, providing assistance with discovery, translation of Spanish documents, and successful summary judgment briefing in multi-million dollar copyright infringement case, assisting with summary judgment briefing and trial preparation in defending a $50 million legal malpractice case that was settled shortly before trial, conducting a federal evidentiary hearing in a Section 1983 civil rights case, drafting appellate briefs and arguing before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit regarding the same. Prior to joining Redgrave LLP, Ms. Gutierrez was an associate attorney at Husch Blackwell LLP, focusing her practice on litigation and eDiscovery. She is a member of the Wisconsin LGBT Bar Association, the Milwaukee Bar Association, and the Hispanic Professionals of Greater Milwaukee. She has been recognized for several years by Super Lawyers as one of Wisconsin’s Rising Stars. Ms. Gutierrez received her J.D. degree from Loyola University School of Law and her B.A. degree from the University of Michigan. She is fluent in Spanish.
