MICHAEL D. MAZUR is a founding partner of Mazur & Brooks, A Professional Law Corporation and is admitted to practice in the states of Nevada and California. Mr. Mazur’s primary practice area is protecting the interest of secured and unsecured creditors. This includes aggressive pre-litigation strategies from securitization of assets via security agreements, liens and attachments, lis pendens, confession of judgments, consent decrees and creditor negotiations; judicial strategies including pre-judgment attachments, replevin, claim and delivery and deficiency judgments; and post judgment collections strategies including writ of attachment, writ of execution, writ of garnishment and levy, till taps and receiverships. Mr. Mazur has written and lectured extensively in the creditor's rights and collections areas, including collections in bankruptcy, collection strategies and fraudulent conveyances. Mr. Mazur has co-authored and lectured the following publications with National Business Institute's continuing legal education programs: Finding Debtors and Debtor's Assets (2017 Nat. Business Institute), Advanced Collection Law (2014 Nat. Business Institute), Collections: Seeking and Collecting a Judgment (2009 Nat. Business Institute), Collecting Debts: Tips and Strategies to Legally Get What You're Owed ( 2007 Nat. Business Institute), Collection Law from Start to Finish (2005 Nat. Business Institute); and Collection Law Seminar (2005 Nat. Business Institute). He is a member of the State Bar of California and the State Bar of Nevada. Mr. Mazur earned his J.D. degree from Western State University, College of Law. Additionally, Mr. Mazur is a Nevada sworn peace officer - deputy with the Constable’s Office in Southern Nevada and lectures at the Law Enforcement Academy on civil law, post judgment attachment and procedures, search and seizure, and constitutional law.
