ALAN R. BELCHER JR. is a partner in the law firm of Hall Booth Smith, P.C., where he focuses his practice in two major areas: construction litigation and professional malpractice litigation. Mr. Belcher devotes the majority of his practice to construction-related disputes and litigation, including surety law, commercial and residential development law, complex construction litigation, and construction defect and construction-related product liability litigation. He has tried countless lawsuits to jury and non-jury verdicts and has obtained numerous defense verdicts on behalf of his clients in various types of construction, business, and insurance-driven lawsuits. Mr. Belcher's experience in construction litigation also includes the representation of insurance carriers in insurance coverage litigation and other property and casualty litigation. As co-leader of Hall Booth Smith's national insurance practice team, he routinely represents insurance carriers in property losses to commercial buildings, hotels, multi-family complexes and infrastructure. Mr. Belcher also frequently speaks to construction, insurance and business professionals on various legal topics. He earned his B.S./B.A. degree from Hampden-Sydney College and his J.D. degree from West Virginia University College of Law. Mr. Belcher is a member of the South Carolina Bar (member, Construction Law Section and Insurance Law Section), Defense Research Institute - Construction and Surety Law Section, and the Carolinas Associated General Contractors. CHARLES B. JORDAN JR. is an attorney and partner with The Pearce Law Group, P.C., located in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Mr. Lyles regularly lectures before various industry groups and has conducted seminars on numerous topics including construction law and insurance bad faith. C. CLAY OLSON is a partner with Harper Little PLLC, and managing partner of the Charleston, South Carolina office. He focuses his practice in the insurance, construction, real estate, and lending industries by representing general contractors, subcontractors, architects, and product manufacturers. Mr. Olson has litigated matters in both South Carolina state and federal courts, the American Arbitration Association, and before regulatory agencies.
