KATIE C. PFEIFER is a trial attorney and a partner in the Minneapolis office of Dorsey & Whitney LLP, and the co-chair of the insurance law practice group. She represents clients in all types of complex commercial litigation, with a particular emphasis on insurance coverage disputes, construction litigation, and health care litigation. Her clients include public and private corporations, for-profit and non-profit entities, financial institutions, and individuals. Through her work with the Tort Trial and Insurance Practice Section (TIPS) of the ABA, Ms. Pfeifer also serves as a senior editor of the CGL Reporters Editorial Board. Written by practicing attorneys, the CGL Reporter, published by IRMI, provides annotations of important coverage decisions from across the nation involving general liability and other business-related policies, and provides commentary on cases and their implications to risk management, insurance, and legal professionals. Ms. Pfeifer earned her B.S. degree, summa cum laude, from the South Dakota State University and her J.D. degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Minnesota Law School, where she was Order of the Coif. She has presented at numerous Minnesota and nationally-broadcasted CLEs concerning various issues, including non-disclosure agreements in litigation, common insurance issues in construction cases, allocation of risk through insurance, indemnification clauses, ethical issues in managing an insurance claim, and interpretation of insurance policies. Ms. Pfeifer is a member of the Minnesota State, Hennepin County, and American bar associations; the Minnesota Women Lawyers; and the Southern Minnesota Regional Legal Services, Campaign for Legal Aid, Urban Leadership Committee. She also is a volunteer investigator for the Fourth Judicial District Ethics Committee with the Hennepin County Bar Association.
TIMOTHY J. WALSH is a partner at Norton Rose Fulbright US LLP, where he practices in the areas of front end construction, contract development project and dispute resolution. He represents owners, developers, contractors, and design professionals in public and private construction projects and represents owners, contractors, and design professionals in negotiation and drafting of development, design, engineering, construction, and related agreements including advice on partnering and integrated project delivery (IPD) contracts, trade labor and project labor matters, insurance, intellectual property protection, land use and zoning, environmental and building code regulations, professional licensing issues and accessibility laws. Mr. Walsh is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association and The Missouri Bar. He earned his B.A. degree, cum laude, from the University of Missouri-Columbia and his J.D. degree from Washington University School of Law.
