Joseph M Russell is a shareholder in the Milwaukee office of von Briesen & Roper, s.c., where he is a member of the Litigation and Risk Management Practice Group. Mr. Russell has litigated a wide variety of cases in state and federal courts throughout the country, including commercial, environmental, mass tort, product liability, franchise, consumer fraud, healthcare, trade secrets, campaign finance and civil rights cases. He is also the firm’s ethics counsel. In this role, he addresses ethics issues for the firm, including research and analysis of complicated ethical and risk management issues. He regularly speaks on ethics to various groups. Mr. Russell is a member of the American Bar Association, the State Bar of Wisconsin (member, Ethics Committee), the Milwaukee Bar Association (chair, Government Law Section), the Seventh Circuit Bar Association and the Eastern District of Wisconsin Bar Association.
