OMAR FIGUEROA is an attorney with the Law Offices of Omar Figueroa in Sebastopol. Mr. Figueroa has more than eighteen years of experience providing legal counsel and representation to members of California’s cannabis industry. He has taught several continuing legal education (CLE) seminars to lawyers on cannabis-related topics, including legal ethics, MCRSA (Medical Cannabis Regulation and Safety Act) and Proposition 64 (Adult Use of Marijuana Act). Mr. Figueroa graduated from Yale College, Stanford Law School and Gerry Spence’s Trial Lawyers College; and learned the craft from legendary San Francisco trial lawyer Tony Serra. He has also represented, on a pro bono basis, medical cannabis patients, computer hackers and activists facing incarceration for peaceful direct action. Mr. Figueroa is a founding lifetime member of the National Cannabis Bar Association (NCBA) and a lifetime member of the NORML Legal Committee. (San Jose location)

CHRISTOPHER LYNCH is an attorney with 7 Point Law PLLC, where his practice areas are primarily focused on contracts, regulatory compliance, licensure, land use, and corporate transactions. Previously, Mr. Lynch was devoted to researching consumer protections, such as packaging, labeling, and advertising practices in the cannabis industry, and presented his research to the Washington State Attorney General and the Washington State Liquor and Cannabis Board. He also worked with the Regulatory Enforcement and Economic Justice Section of the Seattle City Attorney’s Office, where he helped contribute to robust and comprehensive administration of cannabis issues within the city of Seattle. Mr. Lynch earned both his B.A. degree, magna cum laude, and his J.D. degree, cum laude, from Seattle University. (San Jose and Stockton locations)

MAHAL MONTOYA Is an attorney with the Law Offices of Mahal Montoya in Oakland. Ms. Montoya is a civil rights lawyer with a sharp focus on cannabis law. She began her solo practice in 2014, having spent the previous fourteen years as a law clerk, educator, and paralegal specialist for the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Her law practice integrates her passion for civil rights and her support for entrepreneurs. She spends her time counseling entrepreneurs about civil rights, business, tax, and corporate law. Ms. Montoya earned her B.A. degree from the University of California, Berkeley; her MLS degree from San Jose State University; and her J.D. degree from the University of Iowa College of Law. She is a member of NORML (Marijuana Business Section), Alameda County Bar Association, American Bar Association and the Bar Association of San Francisco. (San Jose and Stockton locations)

RYAN P. MULLANE is the principal attorney with the Law Office of Ryan P. Mullane. He focuses his practice on cannabis law and helps cannabis organizations navigate the bumpy road to legalization. Mr. Mullane also provides licensing, incorporation, and criminal defense legal services for those involved in the California medical cannabis industry. He spent two summers abroad in Tokyo, interning for a large Japanese intellectual property law firm. Mr. Mullane earned his B.S. degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia and his J.D. degree from Santa Clara University School of Law. (San Jose and Stockton locations)
