JOSEPH D. CARNEY is a partner with the law firm Joseph D. Carney & Associates, LLC. He is a nationally recognized author, lecturer and attorney with more than 37 years of practical experience in guiding business clients through the complex process of establishing, operating and growing a business in Ohio and in other locations. Mr. Carney is a former attorney and special counsel with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission with the SEC Division of Investment Management, Division of Enforcement and Office of General Counsel. He is an experienced arbitrator with AAA, the New York Stock Exchange and FINRA. Mr. Carney is admitted to both the Ohio and District of Columbia bars, as well as to practice before various U.S. District Courts, the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit and U.S. Supreme Court. He is an active member of the Cleveland, Ohio and Akron, Ohio communities, serving as trustee or participant to multiple civic organizations. A noted author and lecturer on securities, real estate, business, agriculture and cybersecurity law topics, Mr. Carney is frequently asked to consult on complex securities investigation and litigation, including issuing securities and raising capital, crowdfunding, broker-dealer issues, insurance securities, forensic accounting, municipal securities, and publicly or privately-held companies. Mr. Ditty has been qualified as an expert witness for cases in several Ohio counties. He is the president for the Southern Ohio Chapter of the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts (NACVA). In his capacity as chapter president, Mr. Ditty provides and conducts continuing education seminars for valuation analysts and forensic accountants. Mr. Franckhauser is an adjunct professor of law at the Duquesne University School of Law where he instructs the business planning course, contributes to the Penn State extension programs on shale development, and is an adjunct professor at Penn State University's Beaver campus on privacy topics. He serves on various industry-related organizations boards, is a frequent lecturer and speaker on the economic development and opportunities provided by energy, and acts as a liaison between those inside the industry and those seeking entry. Mr. Franckhauser frequently presents to groups and business on issues of cyber security and related data security measures and best practices. He is a trained and experienced mediator and business counselor. Mr. Franckhauser earned his B.A. degree from The Ohio State University and J.D. degree from the Duquesne University School of Law.
RICHARD S. KOBLENTZ is an attorney with Koblentz & Penvose, LLC. Mr. Koblentz devotes the greatest portion of his practice to the area of professional responsibility which includes, but is not limited to, legal ethics, attorney discipline, bar admission representation, representation in the areas of attorney conflicts of interest, disqualification of counsel, law firm formations and dissolutions, legal malpractice representation as both plaintiff and defense counsel, and service as an expert witness. DAVID C. PETNO is vice president, employee benefits consultant with USI Insurance Services. Mr. Petno has been a licensed agent and consultant since 2002. Prior to joining USI, he helped to build Accelerated Benefits into one of the largest, most successful employee benefit consulting firms in the region. Mr. Petno has been active in the State and National Association of Health Underwriters, serving as legislative chair and public relations chair. He is a well-recognized speaker on many topics related to employee benefits, including The Affordable Care Act, cost control, reporting mandates, compliance, ethics, and innovations. From 1997 to 2002, Mr. Petno was president of HealthRays Alliance in Cleveland, Ohio where he worked intensively with the largest non-profit retirement communities in NE Ohio. Prior to that he was vice president of planning and development with Vantage Healthcare Network in Meadville, Pennsylvania.
