SAMANTHA M. ADAMS is a managing partner in the law firm of Adams Crow Law Firm. Her practice is focused on education law, employment litigation and insurance litigation. Ms. Adams is an adjunct faculty member with the University of New Mexico School of Law and has been an instructor for the Council on Education in Management. She is an active member of the State Bar of New Mexico. Benchmark Litigation has recognized Ms. Adams as one of the Top 250 Women in Litigation in the United States and as a Litigation Star in New Mexico. In addition, she has repeatedly been a Southwest Super Lawyer and was named as one of New Mexico's Top 25 Super Lawyers in New Mexico by Southwest Super Lawyers. Ms. Adams has been named a Woman of Influence by the New Mexico Business Weekly. She earned her B.A. degree from Marquette University and her J.D. degree, cum laude and Order of the Coif, from the University of New Mexico School of Law.
JILL A. DOUTHETT is a solo practitioner, who moved to New Mexico after 20 years of practicing law in Philadelphia, where she handled class action antitrust and securities fraud litigation, labor and employment, construction matters, and insurance coverage claims for a variety of Fortune 500 companies and the city of Philadelphia. Ms. Douthett's practice now concentrates on business law and litigation; business formations and corporate governance; franchising, distribution and licensing agreements; commercial leasing and real estate; venture capital and other investment agreements; as well as assisting clients who are buying or selling businesses. She has tried numerous jury and bench trials throughout the country in state and federal courts, and has extensive appellate experience. Ms. Douthett earned her B.A. degree from Tulane University and her J.D. degree from the University of Virginia.
JOSEPH C. LENNIHAN is an attorney in private practice at the Law Office of Joe Lennihan in Santa Fe, New Mexico. He served as in house counsel for 10 years to the Navajo Nation and the Colorado River Indian Tribes. Mr. Lennihan has served on the Indian Pueblo Legal Services Board, has taught federal Indian law at the University of New Mexico and served as chief counsel to the New Mexico Taxation & Revenue Department. He earned his J.D. degree from the University of Maryland and his LL.M. degree from Georgetown University.
DR. ALBERTO A. LEÓN is owner of ALeónlaw, P.C. He provides specialized services to institutional clients, small businesses and individuals focusing on protection of, and disputes involving, intellectual property rights, including patents, trademarks and copyrights. He provides legal services in the registration, prosecution and litigation areas. His experience includes general counsel and corporate work for closely held corporations and consortia sponsoring research and development activities at national laboratories and universities. His practice also includes infringement litigation before the federal courts and federal administrative agencies. Dr. León has negotiated international contracts and licenses, and routinely handles intellectual property cases for businesses interests in Latin America. Dr. León's practice also focuses on various aspects of sports law, especially protection of intellectual property rights, transactional work and dispute resolution. He is a member of Inter-American Association of Industrial Property, and Albuquerque and American (Intellectual Property Section) bar associations.
TYR LORANGER is an attorney with Loranger Law LLC, where he successfully manages all manner of cases, both criminal and civil, including but not limited to criminal law, business and transactional law, administrative law, employment law, alternative dispute resolution, government law, real property and land use law, estate planning and probate law, school law, and family law. He earned his B.A. degrees from the University of New Mexico and his J.D. degree, cum laude, from Thomas Jefferson School of Law.
AMELIA P. NELSON is an attorney at Rio Grande Attorneys at Law, P.C., where she concentrates on employment and labor law, including workers' rights; wage and hour rights; and discrimination, harassment and retaliation legal matters. She also practices in general civil litigation, focusing on personal injury lawsuits involving car, truck and bicycle accidents, sports injuries, animal attacks, and premises accidents resulting in injury. Ms. Nelson also handles basic estate planning and probate for traditional and non-traditional couples. Ms. Nelson maintains a practice dedicated to all people in need, with a focus on LGBT/Q rights. Ms. Nelson is a full time faculty lecturer at the Anderson School of Management, University of New Mexico. Ms. Nelson teaches business management law, employment law, advanced legal topics, and advanced employment and labor law in the business school and EMBA. She is a member of Prior Advisory Board, National Contract Management Association - Rio Grande Chapter; the Board of Directors, New Mexico Women's Bar Association; Board of Directors, Kids TRI; and the New Mexico LGBT Bar Association.
