DELIA BOUWERS BIANCHIN is senior counsel with The Lynch Law Group, LLC. Ms. Bianchin has two decades of high level experience practicing law. For the first half of her career, she focused in complex commercial litigation at two large prominent law firms in Pittsburgh and the second half as in-house counsel for a diversified contract manufacturing company and for a dynamic start-up. In her first ten years of practice, she practiced complex commercial litigation at the both K&L Gates (formerly Kirkpatrick & Lockhart LLP) and Eckert Seamans Cherin & Mellott LLC. She then joined Penn United Technologies, Inc. and for ten years, held the position of general counsel for the diversified, international precision tool and die manufacturing company based in Cabot, Pennsylvania. She received her B.A. degree in English from Calvin College and her J.D. degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law where she served as the editor-in-chief of the Journal of Law and Commerce and the research editor for the University of Pittsburgh Law Review. Ms. Bianchin is actively involved in community affairs and currently serves on the national Christian Legal Society Board and is the founding president of the Western Pennsylvania Chapter of the Christian Legal Society. She is a member of the Butler County, Allegheny County and Pennsylvania bar associations.
DALE K. COWHER is the owner of Dale K. Cowher & Company, LLC, in Pittsburgh. Mr. Cowher is a Certified Public Accountant and he provides accounting and tax services to individuals, small businesses and non-profits. These services include payroll, bookkeeping, financial statement preparation, tax return preparation and tax planning. He earned his B.S. degree in Business Administration from Penn State University. Mr. Cowher is a member of the Pennsylvania Institute of CPA’s. He conducts recordkeeping and tax presentations for workshops presented by the Small Business Administration.
STUART R. KAPLAN is a member of the law firm of Eckert Seamans Cherin & Mellott, LLC, where he provides general corporate counsel to numerous for profit and not-for-profit companies and organizations, and advises in all aspects of business, employment, tax, real estate and health care law. Mr. Kaplan frequently assists clients with the drafting and interpretation of contracts; the purchase and sale of businesses; the purchase, sale and leasing of real property and the resolution of disputes among business owners. His clients include businesses, business owners and other entrepreneurs, hospitals, physicians and not-for-profit organizations. He has significant experience in corporate governance issues (for profit and nonprofit), ownership transition plans, royalty and licensing arrangements, limited liability companies, officer and employee incentive plans and laws and regulations applicable to health care providers, e.g., the Stark and Fraud & Abuse prohibitions. Mr. Kaplan has previously lectured to various professional groups on a variety of business law matters. He is a former adjunct professor at Robert Morris College. Mr. Kaplan received his B.A. degree from Franklin and Marshall College, his M.B.A. degree from the University of Pittsburgh Graduate School of Business and his J.D. degree, cum laude, from Washington and Lee University School of Law.
JEAN E. NOVAK is a director at Strassburger McKenna Gutnick & Gefsky and is co-chair of the employer-employee relations practice. She focuses her practice in the areas of employer-employee relations, business services, public and non-profit. Ms. Novak is a fellow of the Allegheny County Bar Foundation and is in her second term as a council member of the Allegheny County Bar Association (ACBA) Women in the Law Division, where she also chairs the Lean In Committee. Ms. Novak is vice chair of the ACBA Medical Marijuana and Hemp Committee and serves on state-wide medical marijuana and hemp subcommittees on employment and on workers’ compensation. A frequent speaker on the subject of medical marijuana in employment, she has addressed a wide variety of groups including the Pittsburgh Entrepreneurs Forum, the Pennsylvania State Association of Township Supervisors, the ACBA Construction Law Section, and the World Medical Cannabis Conference. She is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association (Workers' Compensation Section) and the American Bar Association (Labor and Employment Section). She is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania; the U.S. District Court, Western District of Pennsylvania; the U.S. Court of Appeals, Third Circuit; and the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, Western District of Pennsylvania. Ms. Novak received her B.S.B.A. degree from West Virginia University, her M.S. degree from Carnegie-Mellon University, and her J.D. degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law.
GREGORY H. TEUFEL is the founder and managing member of OGC Law, LLC, a Pittsburgh law firm. He focuses his practice on outside general counsel work and commercial litigation. Mr. Teufel's broad base of experience includes drafting and negotiating a wide variety of commercial agreements on a regular basis that frequently include indemnification, competition, and confidentiality provisions of various types. He frequently handles breach of contract litigation matters as well. Mr. Teufel is a member of the Allegheny County, West Virginia and Pennsylvania bar associations. He earned his B.S. degree, magna cum laude, from Kings College; and his J.D. degree, cum laude, from the University of Michigan Law School.
