MARK D. KIMBALL is the founding shareholder of MDK Law, a firm emphasizing corporate, commercial, and property law and consulting in matters involving federal and international taxation. Mr. Kimball is admitted to practice in Washington, New York and Texas. He is an adjunct professor of law at Eotvos Lorand and Masaryk universities in Europe and has served as a law school guest lecturer at Seattle University School of Law. Mr. Kimball has presented at conferences and continuing education events of the Escrow Association of Washington; the Washington State Bar Association; and at legal and political science academic conferences in the United States, Latin America and Europe. He earned his J.D. degree and LL.M. (taxation) degree from the University of Washington, and also holds an LL.M. degree, in transnational commercial practice, from Europe.
ANNE E. WAL is a shareholder in the real estate; construction law; and banking, bankruptcy, and business restructuring sections of von Briesen & Roper, s.c. She represents privately and publicly held businesses, financial institutions, and governmental and quasi-governmental entities in construction, real estate, and commercial finance matters. Ms. Wal's real estate work covers all stages of commercial development, including acquisition; obtaining entitlements; negotiating development agreements, easements, or other documents memorializing property rights; negotiating design and construction contracts; and negotiating leases. She has an extensive background in banking as a former business banker, middle market commercial banking paralegal, and project manager for compliance issues at three of the largest banks in Milwaukee. While at Chase Bank (formerly Bank One), she was a member of a national project team formed to create new versions of middle market commercial loan documents. Ms. Wal's professional memberships include the American and Milwaukee bar associations, State Bar of Wisconsin, and the Association for Women Lawyers. From 2012 through 2015, she was the co-chair of the Real Property Section of the Milwaukee Bar Association.
MICHAEL D. WEIS is a member with Dykema. Mr. Weis focuses his practice on general corporate representation, commercial real estate, finance and taxation for mid-size privately and publicly held entities. He has represented clients in a myriad of industries, including manufacturing, distribution, real estate, health care, food and beverage, technology, and professional services. Mr. Weis has been involved in the negotiation, structure, documentation, and closing of hundreds of complex corporate, commercial real estate, and finance transactions in the United States and abroad. He was named a leading lawyer in the practice areas of commercial real estate and corporate law for the last three years. Mr. Weis earned his B.S. degree, with high honors, from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign College of Commerce and Business Administration and his J.D. degree, cum laude, from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign College of Law. He has been a certified public accountant since 1985. Mr. Weis is a member of the Chicago Bar Association and Illinois CPA Society, actively serving as a member of conference task forces in the corporate, tax and real estate arenas for several years.
