JEFFREY A. CLAYMAN is an attorney with Phelps Dunbar LLP, where his practice focuses on tort, insurance, and commercial litigation. Prior to entering private practice, he served as a law clerk to the Hon. Patricia H. Minaldi, U.S. District Court, Western District of Louisiana. Mr. Clayman has been named a Super Lawyer Rising Star and Ones to Watch in Law by New Orleans CityBusiness. He has published articles and given presentations on a variety of issues in litigation, ranging from premises liability to maritime jurisdiction. Mr. Clayman is admitted to practice in Louisiana and Florida, and is an assistant examiner for the Louisiana Bar Examination. He earned his A.B. degree from Bowdoin College and his J.D. and B.C.L. degrees from Louisiana State University Law Center.
LOREN SHANKLIN FLESHMAN is an attorney with the law firm of Smith Shanklin Sosa, L.L.C. MEGAN C. KIEFER is a partner at Kiefer & Kiefer. She is a trial attorney who specializes in personal injury, insurance defense and appellate work. Ms. Kiefer has experience as lead counsel in jury trials, judge trials, and mediations; as well as extensive experience in oral advocacy. She has successfully argued cases before many Louisiana district and federal courts, as well as appellate courts. Ms. Kiefer represents individuals who have been injured in accidents. Her defense clients include major insurance and transit companies. Ms. Kiefer has lectured on bad faith issues in insurance law. Ms. Kiefer has also been active in LGBT impact litigation and has assisted in filing briefs with the United States Supreme Court, Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, and Inter-American Court of Human Rights regarding issues, such as LGBT discrimination and same-sex marriage. She graduated at the top of her class at Tulane Law School, with an Order of the Coif distinction. There, Ms. Kiefer served as senior associate editor and board member of the Tulane University Law Review, as well as a board member of Moot Court and the Lambda Alliance. She is a certified mediator, receiving her certification from Humboldt University in Berlin, Germany. Ms. Kiefer is admitted to practice law in California, Louisiana and New York.
TESSA P. VORHABEN is of counsel with the law firm of Baker Donelson, where she practices primarily in the areas of general litigation, insurance coverage, and tort litigation. She defends claims involving personal injury, products liability, premises liability, property damage, business interruption, insurance bad faith, and extra-contractual litigation. Ms. Vorhaben also represents Write-Your-Own (WYO) insurance carriers participating in the U.S. Government's National Flood Insurance Program.
