JEFFREY A. CLAYMAN is an attorney with Phelps Dunbar LLP, where his practice focuses on tort, insurance, and commercial litigation. Prior to entering private practice, he served as a law clerk to the Hon. Patricia H. Minaldi, U.S. District Court, Western District of Louisiana. Mr. Clayman has been named a Super Lawyer Rising Star and Ones to Watch in Law by New Orleans CityBusiness. He has published articles and given presentations on a variety of issues in litigation, ranging from premises liability to maritime jurisdiction. Mr. Clayman is admitted to practice in Louisiana and Florida, and is an assistant examiner for the Louisiana Bar Examination. He earned his A.B. degree from Bowdoin College and his J.D. and B.C.L. degrees from Louisiana State University Law Center.
LOREN SHANKLIN FLESHMAN is an attorney with the law firm of Smith Shanklin Sosa, L.L.C. Ms. Fleshman practices in the areas of personal injury, wrongful death, class actions, automobile accidents, medical malpractice, and products liability. She received her B.S. degree from Louisiana State University and her J.D. degree from Louisiana State University, Paul M. Hebert Law Center. Ms. Fleshman has continued her leadership role in the legal field and, in 2012, she was elected to the Young Lawyers Section of the Baton Rouge Bar Association by her fellow Baton Rouge attorneys.
MEGAN C. KIEFER is a partner at Kiefer & Kiefer. She is a trial attorney who specializes in personal injury, insurance defense and appellate work. Ms. Kiefer has experience as lead counsel in jury trials, judge trials, and mediations; as well as extensive experience in oral advocacy. She has successfully argued cases before many Louisiana district and federal courts, as well as appellate courts. Ms. Kiefer represents individuals who have been injured in accidents. Her defense clients include major insurance and transit companies. Ms. Kiefer has lectured on bad faith issues in insurance law. She received a Leadership in Law Award from New Orleans City Business in 2017, recognizing both her legal accomplishments and community contributions. Ms. Kiefer has been listed as a Super Lawyer Rising Star in 2017 and 2018, and has been inducted into the Litigation Counsel of America. Her pro bono work has focused on Constitutional law issues, including Fourth Amendment litigation, as well as the representation of veterans and indigent clients in immigration proceedings, eviction proceedings, and in domestic violence matters. Ms. Kiefer has also been active in LGBT impact litigation and has assisted in filing briefs with the United States Supreme Court, Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, and Inter-American Court of Human Rights regarding issues, such as LGBT discrimination and same-sex marriage. She graduated at the top of her class at Tulane Law School, with an Order of the Coif distinction. There, Ms. Kiefer served as senior associate editor and board member of the Tulane University Law Review, as well as a board member of Moot Court and the Lambda Alliance. She is a certified mediator, receiving her certification from Humboldt University in Berlin, Germany. Ms. Kiefer is admitted to practice law in California, Louisiana and New York.
TESSA P. VORHABEN is of counsel with the law firm of Baker Donelson, where she practices primarily in the areas of general litigation, insurance coverage, and tort litigation. She defends claims involving personal injury, products liability, premises liability, property damage, business interruption, insurance bad faith, and extra-contractual litigation. Ms. Vorhaben also represents Write-Your-Own (WYO) insurance carriers participating in the U.S. Government's National Flood Insurance Program. She received her B.A. degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Southern Mississippi and her J.D. degree from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law. Ms. Vorhaben has been listed in Louisiana Super Lawyers as a Rising Star from 2013 to 2018. She is a member of the New Orleans Bar Association, Louisiana State Bar Association, American Bar Association, and the Defense Research Institute.
JATAVIAN L. WILLIAMS is an attorney and partner with Glago Williams, LLC. His practice primarily focuses on plaintiff's personal injury, admiralty and maritime, insurance, contract, medical malpractice, toxic tort and class action cases. Mr. Williams is admitted to practice before the Louisiana Supreme Court, the United States District Courts for the Eastern, Middle, and Western Districts of Louisiana, as well as, the United States Court of Appeals, Fifth Circuit. He is a member of the Greater New Orleans, Louis A. Martinet Legal Society, Inc., and Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.
