KATHRYN E. CORDELL is an attorney in the Indianapolis law firm of Katz Korin Cunningham where she focuses her practice in the areas of health care law, litigation, long-term care and retirement facilities, and medical malpractice defense. Ms. Cordell also serves as an adjunct professor at Indiana University Robert McKinney School of Law. She earned her B.S. degree from Indiana University, Bloomington; her M.S. degree from Indiana University at Indianapolis; and her J.D. degree from the University of Notre Dame. Ms. Cordell is a member of the Indiana State and Indianapolis bar associations, the Defense Research Institute, the Defense Trial Counsel of Indiana and the Federal Bar Association.
SHIRLEY DAUGHERTY is a registered nurse, certified nurse life care planner and Medicare set-aside allocator with Daugherty & Associates, LLC. Ms. Daugherty is a member of the American Association of Nurse Life Care Planners, American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants, and National Association of Medicare Set Aside Professionals. She graduated with an associate degree in 1994 and Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing in 2012. Ms. Daugherty has worked primarily in long term care as a staff nurse and in management. She began a nurse consulting business (Daugherty & Associates, LLC) in 2004, focusing on long term care consultation. In 2007, she began the transition into legal nurse consulting, nurse life care planning and Medicare set-aside consultation. Ms. Daugherty is very active within the American Association of Nurse Life Care Planners and is the past secretary of the Executive Board. She is currently serving on the Certified Nurse Life Care Planner Certification Board.
WILLIS E. HUIRAS is the founder of Huiras Law. He has litigated cases in nearly every county in Indiana. Mr. Huiras also regularly appears in federal district and bankruptcy courts, including the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals. He earned his B.S. degree from Ball State University and his J.D. degree from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law. While at Ball State University, Mr. Huiras earned the distinction of Dean's List every semester, culminating in the Outstanding Graduate, Department of Economics honor. During law school, he was a Dean's tutorial fellow and served on the International and Comparative Law Review.
CARI L. SHEEHAN is of counsel in Barnes & Thornburg LLP's Indianapolis office and is a member of the litigation department. Ms. Sheehan serves as professional responsibility counsel to the firm and focuses on various legal ethics and professional responsibility matters. Prior to joining Barnes & Thornburg LLP, Ms. Sheehan worked on a wide variety of litigation matters, including Title IX litigation, employment discrimination, bullying and school litigation, complex torts, civil rights litigation, police misconduct, medical malpractice, personal injury, wrongful death claims, and criminal issues. She has represented clients in state and federal courts in Indiana and Illinois. Ms. Sheehan is admitted to practice in Indiana and Illinois. She also is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Northern and Southern districts of Indiana, U.S. District Court for the Northern and Southern districts of Illinois, U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Indiana and Northern District of Illinois, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. Ms. Sheehan is a member of the Indiana State Bar Association, Indianapolis Bar Association, and the Saint Thomas More Legal Society.
