EMILY L. ANGEL is an attorney with the GAL program at Kids' Voice of Indiana. Before joining Kids' Voice, she worked as a staff attorney at Indiana Legal Services, Inc. A graduate of the Indiana State Bar Association (ISBA) Leadership Development Academy, Ms. Angel is active in the ISBA, where she currently serves as the chair of the ISBA's Public Relations Committee and as a member of the Indiana Kids' Election Committee. Ms. Angel graduated with a degree in history and political science from the University of Evansville and received her law degree, cum laude, from the Robert H. McKinney School of Law in Indianapolis. She is a member of the Indianapolis Bar Association (Indy Bar) and serves on the Indy Bar Professionalism Committee. Ms. Angel is also a volunteer judge for Reach For Youth's Teen Court program, is a volunteer for COIN (Coalition for Our Immigrant Neighbors) and a member of the Board of Directors for the Children's Policy and Law Initiative.
CARL J. BECKER is a founding partner in the law firm of Newton Becker Bouwkamp Pendoski, PC, where he practices in the areas of family law, general commercial advice, and business litigation. He practices in various counties throughout the state of Indiana with the majority of his work being in Marion, Hamilton, Hendricks, Hancock, and Boone counties. Mr. Becker has lectured on numerous occasions regarding family law issues including child custody, child support, property issues, mediation and other alternative dispute resolution techniques, and the representation of children. He also frequently lectures on issues impacting manufactured housing communities and has helped create the reference library utilized by members of the Indiana Manufactured Housing Association. Mr. Becker is a member of the Indianapolis, Hamilton County, and Indiana State bar associations. He earned his B.S. degree, with high honors, and his J.D. degree, cum laude, from the University of Illinois.
RACHEL EAST is an attorney with Hocker & Associates LLC focusing her practice in all areas of family law, including: divorce, collaborative law, custody, child support, parenting time, paternity, guardianship, prenuptial agreements and post-nuptial agreements. She also provides services in will/estate planning and probate. Ms. East has conducted hundreds of hearings and mediations, argued in nearly every county in Indiana, and litigated in state court, federal district court, the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals and the Indiana Court of Appeals. Ms. East is a member of the Indianapolis, Indiana State bar associations, and Central Indiana Association of Collaborative Professionals. She received her B.A. degree from Marian University and earned her JD degree from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law.
GEORGE A. LOHMEIER is a partner in the Greenfield law firm of Allen Wellman McNew Harvey, LLP, with offices in Greenfield and Indianapolis. Mr. Lohmeier earned his B.S. degree, with honors, in 1975 from Florida State University where he majored in government. He earned his J.D. degree from Indiana University School of Law at Indianapolis in 1978. Throughout his career, Mr. Lohmeier's primary area of practice has been in family law, with an emphasis on child custody litigation. He is a member of the Indiana State Bar Association and practices throughout the state of Indiana. In addition, he has represented clients pro hac vice in the states of New York, Nevada, Wisconsin, and North Carolina.
