Cheyenne N Riker is general counsel for Haven Health Management, located in Palm Springs, Florida. He began his legal career in an Indiana law firm. His experience in land use controls and compliance-related matters brought him to Haven Health Management. In his role as general counsel for Haven Health Management, Mr. Riker is responsible for advising the company on compliance with HIPAA, HITECH, and 42 CFR Part 2, all of which are federal regulatory and statutory schemes that ensure protection of patient healthcare information. He advises the company on compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, the Family Medical Leave Act, the Pregnancy Discrimination Act, and their related regulations. As the company's primary contract negotiator and acquisition specialist, Mr. Riker is responsible for the company's acquisition of new businesses, lease negotiations, corporate organizational matters, liability prevention, and real estate acquisitions.
