BJ FADEM is a senior attorney and president of the Law Offices of BJ Fadem & Associates, APC. Within the area of family law, Mr. Fadem has extensive experience in handling palimony, international jurisdiction matters, domestic partners/same-sex marriage, and difficult custody cases. He is a certified specialist in family law by the State Bar of California. Mr. Fadem is a member of the Santa Clara County Bar Association (Family Law Section), National Association of Counsel for Children, Santa Clara County Minors Counsel Committee, Association of Certified Family Law Specialists, and the State Bar of California. He was appointed by Retired Judge LaDoris Cordell to serve on the San Jose Independent Police Auditors Advisory Commission, and continues to serve on the commission. KAREN DRURY RUSSELL is the CEO of Russell Mediations, where she provides mediation for families in the areas of divorce and family law, estate planning and family-owned businesses. She is admitted to practice in California. Ms. Russell is a member of the State Bar of California. She earned her B.A. degree from the University of California at Santa Barbara, her paralegal certificate from Santa Clara University Institute for Paralegal Education, and her J.D. degree from Santa Clara University School of Law. Ms. Russell was the project manager, administrator and coordinator of the Young Children’s Settlement Team Project in Santa Clara County Family Court. She is an instructor in collaborative practice certified by Collaborative Practice Silicon Valley. Ms. Russell has been a guest lecturer at several area law schools.
