Louis R. Cohan founded Cohan Law Group, L.L.C., and has been a trial lawyer for more than 25 years. Mr. Cohan has done work in breach of contract, fraud, injunctive relief, punitive damages, employment, trade secrets, real estate, construction and construction defects, and civil rights litigation. His practice is concentrated on business litigation and employment litigation. Mr. Cohan serves on the boards of the Atlanta Bar Association (treasurer-Litigation Section, chair-Small Firm Section), and the Atlanta Bar Foundation, as well as being a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA). He earned his B.S. degree from the University of Georgia and his J.D. degree from Emory School of Law.
Talia G. Damrow concentrates her practice on civil litigation and insurance defense. Ms. Damrow has defended a wide array of litigation including employment, real estate, medical malpractice, and construction defect claims. In the business arena, Ms. Damrow frequently handles contract disputes, corporate contract review and negotiations, and intellectual property trademark matters. She has served as corporate counsel for a broad range of businesses and represents insurance companies in bad faith defense and coverage disputes. Ms. Damrow is licensed in Montana, Washington, Colorado, North Dakota and Wyoming. Before joining Hall & Evans, Ms. Damrow practiced civil litigation at small firms in Billings, Montana. While attending the University of Washington School of Law, she was chief online editor of the
Washington Journal of Law, Technology & Arts, a law clerk for the Washington state attorney general, and an intern with the Prosecuting Attorney's Office in Issaquah, Washington.
Josh M. Goldberg is an attorney at Barran Liebman, LLP, where he represents management in a variety of employment and labor relations matters. He takes a collaborative, hands-on approach to counseling employers and tailors his advice to clients’ specific goals and needs. Before joining Barran Liebman, LLP, Mr. Goldberg developed an extensive background in resolving employment and business disputes in state and federal court. As a judicial clerk to the Honorable Jerome LaBarre and Andrew Lavin at the Multnomah County Circuit Court, he managed 20 trials. He also served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Ann Aiken and Mark Clarke of the U.S. District Court of Oregon. Prior to law school, Mr. Goldberg developed a knack for anticipating risk and crafting creative solutions advancing the policy initiatives of Secretary of State Kate Brown, now Oregon’s governor. He graduated with a B.A. degree in political science from Williams College and a J.D. degree from Lewis & Clark Law School. Throughout his legal education, Mr. Goldberg remained steadfastly committed to community service. He received community service awards, co-founded the Lewis & Clark Law School’s Law Student Diversity Action Committee, helped businesses navigate complex civil litigation at the Western Resources Legal Clinic, and was an associate editor for the
Environmental Law Review. Mr. Goldberg was also inducted into the Cornelius Honor Society in recognition of his distinguished scholarship, leadership, and contribution to Lewis & Clark Law School.
Liz M. Mellem is a managing shareholder of Parsons Behle & Latimer, where she is a skilled litigator. Ms. Mellem focuses her practice on employment counseling and litigation for employers, and complex commercial litigation. She works with her clients to guide them toward effective and satisfactory resolutions both in and out of court. She has extensive experience in a range of employment issues including sexual harassment claims, discrimination investigation, non-compete issues, and theft of trade secrets. Ms. Mellem regularly presents at employment-focused seminars on a variety of topics. She is licensed to practice law in both Montana and Utah, and is the former chair of the Labor & Employment Section of the Utah State Bar. She obtained her B.S. degree from Montana State University and her J.D. from the S. J. Quinney College of Law.
Peter L. Ostermiller is a sole practitioner concentrating in legal ethics and professional responsibility matters. Mr. Ostermiller represents attorneys in disciplinary and reinstatement proceedings, judges in judicial ethics matters, and bar exam applicants. He has also represented parties in attorney's fee dispute proceedings, attorneys in legal proceedings in which sanctions have been sought against the attorney, represented parties in attorney disqualification proceedings, and counseled lawyers and law firms in their respective rights, responsibilities and duties to other attorneys and their clients. Mr. Ostermiller is a member of the Kentucky Bar Association, Louisville Bar Association and the Association of Professional Responsibility Lawyers. He served on the Kentucky Bar Association's Ethics 2000 Committee, which proposed changes to the Rules of Professional Conduct to the KBA, which resulted in the July 2009 revisions to the Ethics Rules. Mr. Ostermiller graduated with his B.A. and J.D. degrees from the University of Louisville.
Latha M. Srinivasan is with Lincoln Electric Company Global. She has been a licensed attorney in the state of Ohio for more than 20 years, and has worked in the areas of labor and employment law, business and civil litigation, EEO, HR, AAP, corporate EEO issues, and workplace diversity and inclusion management and implementation. Ms. Srinivasan is currently in the HR compliance group at a utility company with over 15,000 employees. She has presented numerous seminar topics on the various federal and state employment laws and has contributed articles for the
Bar Journal of the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association and other publications in the areas of employment law, social media, and work life balance. Ms. Srinivasan also regularly speaks on lactation laws in the workplace. She is a member of the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association (CMBA), and a member of the CMBA's Labor & Employment Section, Women in Law Section, Lawyers Mental Health and Wellness Committee, and Diversity and Inclusion Committee. In addition, Ms. Srinivasan is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management, certified as an Edison Electric Institute employment testing manager/lead, and has earned an internal certification of reliability compliance champion at her company. She earned her undergraduate degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Rochester and her J.D. degree from the Case Western Reserve University School of Law, where she was awarded the Paul J. Hergenroeder Award in Trial Tactics.
