KATIE JACKSON is the owner of Northwest Neurodevelopment Center LLC, where she is an educational consultant and special education advocate providing individualized, family-centered education, and advocacy services to families in the Portland metro area. Prior to establishing her career, she worked in public education serving preschool, elementary, and middle school and high school age students. Ms. Jackson has provided extensive mentoring and teacher in-service training workshops during her time in public education. She is a member of COPAA: Council of Parents, Attorneys and Advocates. Ms. Jackson received her B.A degree from Portland State University and her Master of Science in special education from Portland State University.
PHILIP E. STERN supports the school law, and employment and labor practice groups for DiFrancesco Bateman Kunzman Davis Lehrer & Flaum, PC. Mr. Stern represents public and private school districts, colleges, and universities in collective bargaining, special education, employment litigation, and student and staff disciplinary issues. He has negotiated collective bargaining agreements on behalf of educational institutions. Mr. Stern has litigated full jury trials and administrative hearings in all New Jersey judicial and administrative forums, from the New Jersey Supreme Court to the New Jersey Public Employment Relations Commission to the New Jersey Office of Administrative Law. Mr. Stern earned his B.A. degree from Wesleyan University, his M.A. degree in educational administration from Montclair State College, and his J.D. degree from New York Law School.
