ELIZABETH A. HEFFERNAN is an attorney at Ahlers & Cooney, P.C., in Des Moines, Iowa. As a member of the firm’s education, employment law and litigation practice groups, she works with education clients on various human resources and other employment law matters, including employee discipline and terminations, employment contracts, drafting and revising employment policies, and investigations related to employment. Ms. Heffernan is a member of the American Bar Association, Iowa State Bar Association, and the Iowa Council of School Board Attorneys. She earned her B.A. degree from Buena Vista University, and her J.D. degree from the University of Iowa College of Law.
