MARK S. CHERRY is an attorney with Mark S. JASON D. NAVARINO is a partner in the tax and corporate groups at Riker Danzig Scherer Hyland & Perretti LLP, in Morristown, New Jersey, and New York City. His main areas of practice include domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, and joint ventures; drafting and negotiating operating, partnership and shareholders' agreements; advising clients contemplating investments in private equity and hedge funds and other private investment opportunities; advising businesses with respect to U.S. federal, state and local taxes (including partnership, corporate, and international tax issues); and counseling nonprofit and tax-exempt organizations. He is a past chair of the Taxation Law Section of the New Jersey State Bar Association and the current chair of the Section's International Tax Committee, as well as a member of the Tax Section of the New York State Bar Association. Mr. Navarino received his A.B. degree, summa cum laude, from the School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University; his J.D. degree from Yale Law School; and his LL.M. degree in taxation from New York University School of Law. He previously clerked for the Honorable Barry T. Albin of the Supreme Court of New Jersey.
