JEREMY BRENNER is a partner with Armstrong Teasdale LLP in the firm's Kansas City office. Mr. Brenner an experienced employment attorney and co-leader of the firm's national wage and hour/Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) practice. He has served as a strategic business partner to employers for over a dozen years, both as an HR consultant and as an employment attorney. A portion of Mr. Brenner's practice is devoted to wage and hour law. He has successfully handled many Department of Labor investigations around the country and litigated numerous misclassification, overtime, and minimum wage collective and class actions under the FLSA and other similar state laws. He has defended wage cases in state and federal courts across the country. Mr. Brenner represents employers and managers in administrative charge processes and federal and state court litigation throughout the country involving, for example, state and federal claims of discrimination, wrongful termination, harassment, retaliation and Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) violations. He earned his B.S. degree, Dean's List, from Olin Business School at Washington University and his J.D. degree from University of Missouri School of Law.
CAMILLE R. BRYANT is an attorney with McGlinchey Stafford PLLC, in their New Orleans office. Ms. Bryant defends and counsels clients in employment discrimination matters for both union and non-union workforces, assisting with matters involving collective bargaining, grievance handling, working within the framework of a union contract, and other general legal counsel. She also handles matters before the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB), including unfair labor practice proceedings and representation case hearings. She also practices in the areas of medical malpractice defense and products liability defense. Ms. Bryant earned her B.S. degree from Southern University and A&M College and her J.D. degree, cum laude, from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law. CASEY S. ERICK is a shareholder with Cowles & Thompson, P.C., and focuses on commercial litigation and employment law. He has represented clients in both litigation and transactional matters that span across commercial law, labor and employment, real estate, consumer protection, and general litigation including, but not limited to breach of contract, corporate trade secret theft, tortious interference, defamation, personal injury, fraud, and various other kinds of civil litigation. REBECCA L. MARKS is Of Counsel with Ogletree Deakins Nash Smoak & Stewart, P.C., in Boston, Massachusetts. Ms. Marks is a member of the Cross-Border Practice Group (CBPG), which provides global solutions support for clients in over 100 countries. Her expertise includes crafting practical, business-centric advice on international employment issues for U.S. management of multinational corporations, as well as for multinationals based outside of the U.S. She supports U.S. human resources internationally and helps educate clients about the differences between US at-will employment law and the employee-centric laws of most of the rest of the world. Ms. Marks helps clients negotiate the brave new world of remote workers working really remotely, and drafts employment contracts, contractor agreements, termination agreements and policies to conform with parent company standards but still comply with local requirements. Where necessary, she manages affiliated counsel in each country in litigation matters. Where disciplines overlap, Ms. Marks ensures that clients are aware of potential corporate tax or immigration issues in order to obtain the best results possible in the management of their overseas interests. Her expertise lies in cross border issues with the EU/EEA countries, the UK and Canada, but has also advised on employment issues across the world including many emerging markets. Recently, she served as a member of the firm's COVID-19 "Global Solutions" team providing client content and guidance on global COVID-19 regulations and updates affecting employers. Ms. Marks is a member of the International Bar Association, the Boston Bar Association and the Massachusetts Bar Association. She spent much of her childhood in Latin America, Spain, France, and Australia and has also spent time working outside of the United States. ANGELA MOORE is special counsel with Duane Morris LLP in the firm's San Francisco office. Ms. Moore has over 20 years of experience representing clients in all aspects of immigration law. She has represented a wide array of immigration clients ranging from businesses to individuals. One of Ms. Moore's strengths as an immigration attorney is that she has a grasp of all aspects of U.S. immigration law such that she is truly able to consider all potentially available options. She is a trusted advisor counseling business clients on immigration compliance matters (such as I-9 compliance, LCA compliance, FDNS matters, etc.) and she assists businesses in bringing employees to the U.S. temporarily (in nonimmigrant status) or permanently (in immigrant status). Ms. Moore regularly handles complex immigration cases before various agencies of the U.S. government - such as the CIS, DHS, DOJ, DOL, and the Immigration Court (EOIR). She looks for trends in the adjudication of cases and monitors changes to the law to ferret out even de facto unwritten changes in the government's interpretations and assist clients to proactively submit cases that address the most recent concepts of what is required to win in that particular case. Ms. Moore has been is a speaker on immigration matters for clients, the American Immigration Lawyer's Association, and various bar associations. She is a former chair of the Northern California Chapter of the American Immigration Lawyer's Association, CIS Liaison for the San Francisco CIS, and co-coordinator for the African-American Interest Group for AILA. Ms. Moore is a graduate of Georgetown University Law Center where she was an editor on the Georgetown Immigration Law Journal and a graduate of Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service.
LORRAINE P. OCHELTREE is a partner at Duane Morris LLP, where she practices in the areas of employment law and civil litigation. Ms. Ocheltree has represented clients in state and federal court and has served as trial counsel in jury and bench trials, resulting in defense verdicts, as well as matters that went to mediation and arbitration. She has also successfully pursued and defended appeals. Ms. Ocheltree has defended employers in both state and federal court from a variety of claims including wrongful discharge, race, national origin, gender, age, sexual orientation, and disability discrimination, as well as racial and sexual harassment, retaliation, ADA-compliance, Labor Code violations, defamation, interference with contract, wage and hour disputes, and unfair business competition. She has defended claims brought before the Department of Fair Employment and Housing, the California Labor Commission, the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board, the California Unemployment Insurance Appeals Board, and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. Ms. Ocheltree also focuses on providing employment advice to employers of all types and sizes about all aspects of the employment relationship from hiring to discipline to discharge. She regularly prepares employment-related documents such as handbooks, offer letters and agreements and assists with internal investigations and audits. She also routinely provides management training on a variety of subjects. Ms. Ocheltree is a member of the American Bar Association, San Francisco Bar Association, and Northern California Human Resources Association. RAMONA PALMER-EASON is a partner with Armstrong Teasdale LLP in the firm's Kansas City, Missouri office. Ms. Palmer-Eason is a seasoned legal practitioner with extensive experience in employment and labor, employee benefits and executive compensation, litigation, and compliance. With 20 years of experience as in-house counsel for a major international retailer her experience spans the intersection of the law and human resources. Ms. Palmer-Eason's experience includes successfully defending Title VII charges including age, race and sex discrimination claims; overseeing reduction-in-force and organizational restructuring processes, and related ERISA severance programs; drafting and developing HIPAA privacy policies and procedures; managing employment and benefit matters related to due diligence in the context of mergers and acquisitions; collective bargaining; drafting nondisclosure and no-compete agreements; and negotiating the terms of various types of commercial agreements. Her experience also extends to investigations; ethics and compliance, including training, auditing and hotline administration; oversight of immigration and work visa matters; drafting employment, consulting and separation agreements; welfare and retirement plan administration and governance; records management; and general liability and workers' compensation claims. In addition, Ms. Palmer-Eason's experience includes board administration and governance and advising on crisis management response. She is a member of Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) (fellow, 2021), National Employment Law Council, Corporate Counsel Women of Color and the American Bar Association.
