CHRISTOPHER G. CHAPMAN is a vice president and principal with The Trust Company of Vermont. His duties include helping the firm’s clients understand estate-planning needs, sorting through potentially complex tax and financial problems with them, and distilling information and communicating understandable choices for them to discuss with their estate-planning attorneys. Mr. Chapman is a Certified Trust and Financial Advisor (CTFA) and has been a trust administrator for more than 30 years. He earned his B.S. degree from Northwestern University and is a graduate of the National Graduate Trust School at Northwestern University. He has served on the state Supreme Court’s Committee on Probate Procedure and has made presentations at NBI seminars on general estate-planning, special-needs trusts, trusts used for tax reduction, trust administration, and fiduciary taxation.
