JED KURZBAN is an attorney and managing partner for the law firm of Kurzban Kurzban Tetzeli & Pratt, P.A. He concentrates his practice in the areas of medical malpractice, product liability and personal injury. He is admitted to practice by The Florida Bar and the Hawaii State Bar Association, and before the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit. Mr. Kurzban is a member of the Dade County Bar Association, The Florida Bar, the American Association for Justice, the Florida Justice Association, and the American Bar Association. He served as vice chair of the Dade County Bar Association's Trial Section and on the Board of Directors for the Florida Justice Association. Mr. Kurzban also lobbied in Tallahassee for issues relating to medical malpractice and victim rights. He has also published several articles in The Florida Bar Journal and the FJA Journal, and has given multiple lectures on topics relating to personal injury, auto negligence, medical malpractice and civil litigation. Mr. Kurzban earned his B.A. degree from the University of Alabama and his J.D. degree from the University of Miami School of Law, where he was an adjunct instructor teaching pre-litigation tactics.
SCOTT W. ZAPPOLO is a shareholder with Zappolo & Farwell, P.A., in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, where he focuses his practice in the areas of commercial, civil and complex business litigation. Although he is based in South Florida, his practice requires travel throughout the country and appearances before various tribunals. His corporate clients range from mom-and-pop businesses to much larger corporations, all of whom are treated with a distinctive hands-on approach, whether the forum is state, federal or international court. Mr. Zappolo is a regular speaker at legal education events focusing on trial advocacy. He is a member of the Palm Beach County Bar Association and an emeritus member of the Craig S. Bernard Inn of Court, LIV (Master of the Bench and former Pupilage Leader). Mr. Zappolo earned his B.S. degree from Florida State University; his M.S. degree, with honors, from Florida State University; and his J.D. degree, with honors, from St. Thomas University School of Law.
