JOHN A. ADAMS is the founder of the John Adams Law Firm LLC, where he represents employers, employer associations, and construction contractors in New Jersey and Pennsylvania in construction law, labor law, employment law, collections, corporate law, and litigation before federal and state courts, as well as various federal and state agencies such as OSHA, MSHA, DOT, EEOC, PHRC, NJDCR, and DOL. Mr. Adams is a member of the bars of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, the state bars of Pennsylvania and New Jersey, and numerous federal district courts. He was the primary author of the 2006 Pennsylvania Mechanics' Lien Law Amendments, which substantially changed and modernized the Pennsylvania Mechanics' Lien Law. Mr. Adams earned his B.S. degree from the U.S. Military Academy (West Point) and his J.D. degree from the University of Notre Dame Law School.
JILL R. COHEN is an employment attorney with Eckert Seamans Cherin & Mellott, LLC, in the firm's Princeton office. She regularly represents and counsels employers regarding employment matters including discrimination, harassment, protected leave, employee disciplinary issues, termination, and wage and hour issues. She practices before New Jersey and New York federal and state courts, including significant appellate practice, and represents clients before an array of governmental and administrative agencies and arbitration associations, including the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, New Jersey Division of Civil Rights, U.S. Department of Labor, New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development, and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration. Ms. Cohen earned her B.A. degree, cum laude, from Barnard College, Columbia University, and her J.D. degree from Fordham University School of Law.
JONATHAN F. COHEN is the managing partner with Plosia Cohen LLC, where his practice area focuses on labor and employment, civil litigation and school law. Mr. Cohen is a licensed mediator in the state of New Jersey. He is admitted to practice in New Jersey and before the United States District Court of New Jersey, Third Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court. Mr. Cohen is the president of the New Jersey Chapter of the Labor Employment Relations Association (LERA). He earned his B.S. degree from Florida State University, his M.P.H. degree from Boston University School of Public Health, and his J.D. degree from Boston University School of Law.
RALPH R. SMITH III is a shareholder and co-chair of the labor & employment group of Capehart & Scatchard, P.A. Mr. Smith focuses his practice in employment litigation and preventative employment practices, including counseling employers on the creation of employment policies, non-compete and trade secret agreements, and training employers to avoid employment-related litigation. He represents both companies and individuals in related complex commercial litigation before federal and state courts and administrative agencies in labor and employment cases including race, gender, age, national origin, disability and workplace harassment and discrimination matters; wage and hour disputes; restrictive covenants; grievances; arbitrations; drug testing; and employment-related contract issues. Mr. Smith earned his B.A. degree, magna cum laude, from Temple University and his J.D. degree, cum laude, from Temple University School of Law.
PHILIP E. STERN supports the school law and employment and labor practice groups for DiFrancesco Bateman Kunzman Davis Lehrer & Flaum, PC. Mr. Stern represents public and private school districts, colleges and universities in collective bargaining, special education, employment litigation, and student and staff disciplinary issues. He has negotiated collective bargaining agreements on behalf of educational institutions. Mr. Stern has litigated full jury trials and administrative hearings in all New Jersey judicial and administrative forums, from the New Jersey Supreme Court to the New Jersey Public Employment Relations Commission to the New Jersey Office of Administrative Law. Mr. Stern earned his B.A. degree from Wesleyan University, his M.A. degree in educational administration from Montclair State College, and his J.D. degree from New York Law School.
