RALPH J. CONRAD is the principal of The Conrad Law Firm, where he assists clients with estate planning, trust, probate and Medicaid planning issues. He is certified as a specialist in estate planning, trust and probate law by the Ohio State Bar Association. Mr. Conrad has previously lectured for National Business Institute and various financial institutions and business groups on estate planning, Medicaid planning and ethics. He is a member of the Cincinnati, American, Butler County and Ohio State bar associations. R. JASON HOWARD is a sole practitioner in Dayton, Ohio, with a practice concentration in probate, wills and trusts, real estate, business planning and related litigation. He has lectured for National Business Institute in these areas for 10 years. Mr. Howard is a member of the Dayton and Ohio State bar associations. He is an adjunct professor of law at Sinclair Community College in business law and is admitted to practice in Ohio, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio, and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin. S. MARK MATHEWS is a partner with Mathews & Mathews Co., L.P.A., established in 1946. He is admitted practice in both Ohio and Kentucky and before the U.S. Supreme Court, as well as all Ohio and Kentucky state courts and agencies. Mr. Mathews was appointed special counsel to the Ohio Attorney General in 2007 and continues in that capacity today. He earned his B.S. degree from Ohio Northern University, his J.D. degree from Western Michigan Cooley School of Law, and his LL.M. degree in business and taxation from Capital University. JOHN R. RICCARDI is a vice president and personal trust officer at U.S. Bank. He is responsible for the efficient administration of trust accounts for a high-net-worth client base where the bank is acting as trustee, executor, administrator, conservator, guardian, depositor, or agent. Mr. Riccardi is also a certified trust and financial advisor through the Institute of Certified Bankers of the American Bankers Association. He is a member of the Cincinnati Bar Association and the Cincinnati Estate Planning Council. E. DALE SEARCY is a professor of law emeritus at the University of Dayton School of Law. He has taught there for more than 30 years, specializing in income tax, estate and gift tax, wills and trusts, and estate planning. He has advised the tax moot court teams and the Phi Delta Phi legal professional fraternity, and founded and advised the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program. The law school student body has selected him Professor of the Year ten times. Since retiring from full-time teaching, he does consulting for lawyers. Professor Searcy earned his B.S.Mech.Engrg. degree from General Motors Institute, his J.D. degree from Indiana University, and his LL.M. degree in taxation from New York University.
