WILLIAM C. BARRETT III is a certified public accountant, certified in financial forensics, accredited in business valuation, and a certified collaborative divorce and commercial mediator. He is an author/instructor on the national faculties for Thomson Reuters, Westlaw Publishing and the NACVA Training Institute, concentrating in matrimonial litigation and alternative dispute resolution, and business valuation and forensic accounting. Mr. Barrett is currently VP of Practice of the Forensic Accounting and Investigative Section of the American Accounting Association, a global association of university accounting professors and professionals. He is a recent member of the National Conference of Lawyers and Certified Public Accountants, working on issues emerging from the International Accounting Standards Board, Securities Exchange Commission, Internal Revenue Service and other governmental/international units. He has assisted law and accounting firms, banking, trust and security institutions, and companies in evaluation and analysis of complex financial and tax issues in litigation, marital dissolution, fiduciary negligence, computer and eDiscovery analytics, and in settlement negotiations. Mr. Barrett was voted by his peers as one of Virginia’s Best Business Valuation & Litigation Support Specialists and published in Virginia Business. W. ALLAN BURNS JR. is a partner in the law firm of Cravens & Noll, P.C., in the firm’s Chesterfield office. BRETTA Z. LEWIS is the managing partner at Zimmer & Lewis, Attorneys and Counsellors at Law, specializing in complex family law and equitable distribution cases. Ms. Lewis has been certified as a Guardian Ad Litem since 2004 and has represented children in abuse, neglect and contested custody matters for over a decade. Ms. Lewis has served as a member of the Virginia State Bar Disciplinary Board since 2013, and served the Second District Disciplinary Committee prior to being selected to serve on the board. She has served as a faculty member for Virginia CLE as well as the Virginia Employment Law Association, the Virginia State Bar, the Virginia Beach Juvenile Court, the Virginia Beach Bar Association and the Tidewater Paralegal Association for topics relating to family law and legal ethics.
