JOHN T. BANJAK is a principal and serves as general counsel of True Title Company, LLC, in St. Louis. He has extensive experience in all facets of the title insurance profession from a legal, title professional and consulting standpoint. Before opening his current company, Mr. Banjak served as president and general counsel for three reputable St. Louis title agencies and as regional underwriting counsel for a national title insurance underwriter. He also served as senior vice president and general counsel for Pulaski Bank. Prior to entering the title insurance field, Mr. Banjak worked as a private attorney and as an assistant attorney general for the state of Missouri. He is licensed to practice law in the state of Missouri and is a member of the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis. Mr. Banjak lectures frequently on real estate and title-related matters for organizations such as National Business Institute, the Missouri Land Title Association and The Missouri Bar. He has previously taught real estate law as an associate instructor for the St. Louis Community College District. Mr. Banjak earned his B.S. degree from Indiana University and his J.D. degree from Washington University in St. Louis.
ANGELA L. DRUMM is a principal at Carmody MacDonald P.C., where her areas of practice include banking and finance, financial restructuring and bankruptcy, real estate, venture capital and private equity. Her admissions include Missouri and Illinois. Ms. Drumm was named a Missouri & Kansas Super Lawyers Rising Star in banking law from 2013-2016. She is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, The Missouri Bar and Commercial Real Estate Women St. Louis (CREW) (member, chair, Golf Committee). Ms. Drumm earned her B.S.B.A. degree, summa cum laude, from the University of Missouri, Columbia, Missouri and her J.D. degree from Washington University School of Law, St. Louis, Missouri, where she was an associate editor of the Washington University Global Studies Law Review.
ANNE KELLY is an attorney in the law firm of Galloway, Johnson, Tompkins, Burr & Smith. She is a trial attorney with a strong background in real estate litigation, specifically title insurance. She is a member of her firm’s title resolution practice group, which practices throughout much of the Midwest and Gulf South. Her practice areas also includes general commercial and civil litigation, business, banking, and other insurance matters. A capable litigator with proven abilities in all aspects of complex litigation, Ms. Kelly routinely represents insurance companies, corporations, insureds, governmental entities, and national lending institutions in Missouri, Illinois and federal courts, with considerable appellate and mediation experience as well. Ms. Kelly has worked extensively in real estate litigation since 2007 and has met with success in all manner of cases, including errors and omissions matters, lien priority, indemnification, recoupment, foreclosure, mechanics' lien, forgery, and fraud cases. She received her B.A. degree, summa cum laude, from the University of Dayton and her J.D. degree, cum laude, from the Saint Louis University School of Law.
SCOTT B. MUELLER is a director at the St. Louis office of Galloway, Johnson, Tompkins, Burr & Smith, and manages the title resolution practice group which practices throughout much of the Midwest and Gulf South. Mr. Mueller began working in the real estate industry as a title agent law clerk and has enjoyed and focused on the real estate title industry ever since. He often represents homeowners, lenders, and title insurance companies with a wide spectrum of issues surrounding property ownership and real estate secured lending. He is licensed to practice in Kansas, Missouri, and Illinois; as well as before the U.S. District Court of Kansas, Eastern and Western districts of Missouri, and the Central and Southern districts of Illinois. Mr. Mueller is registered in the Cook County, Illinois bar and regularly represents clients from Wichita to Chicago. Mr. Mueller's article, "Is Equitable Subrogation Dead for Lenders and Insurers in Missouri" was published in the August 2010 edition of the Journal of The Missouri Bar. In January of 2013, Missouri Lawyers Media recognized his involvement in obtaining one of Missouri's largest defense verdicts of 2012. He serves as vice chair for the ABA's Title Insurance Litigation Committee and acts as editor of its newsletter. Mr. Mueller earned his B.A. degree, with honors, from Southern Illinois University and his J.D. degree from Saint Louis University School of Law.
CHARLES H. NITSCH is an attorney with True Title Company, LLC, in St. Louis. Mr. Nitsch practices in the areas of litigation, real estate, and title insurance. Prior to joining True Title Company, LLC, he worked as a contract attorney with Bryan Cave LLP. Mr. Nitsch earned his B.A. degree from Webster University and his J.D. degree from St. Louis University School of Law.
