COLLEEN DEDENBACH is the president/owner of Medicaid Assist Services of NE FL, LLC, in operation since October 2015 assisting the elderly in the Jacksonville, Florida, community and surrounding areas to apply for Medicaid services as needed for community based or long term care placement services. Education and assistance through the application process and follow through with DCF system staff is provided to applicants and their family/representative - with goal of successful completion of the application. Prior Medicaid experience in the application process was through full time employment from July 1989 to June 2015 in long term care facility services and Hospice services. Medicaid application training through DCF in Florida was yearly from 2008 to 2015 under the Provider Services program of training - but also in day to day interaction from 1989 to 2015 employment. Ms. Dedenbach has a B.S.W. degree from Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti, Michigan. She is an active member of E3 Business Group, Inc. - Americas, and serves as E3 North FL Chapter Advisor since December, 2015, and is one of 3 recipients of the E3 2016 Soldier Award for E3 North FL Chapter/National Chapter for 2016.
KOBI A. FINLEY is a partner in the Deland law firm of Phillips & Finley LLC. Since 2004, Ms. Finley has focused her practice in the areas of elder law, Medicaid, estate planning, probate, guardianship and adoption. She is a member of The Florida Bar, the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, the Elder Law Section of The Florida Bar, NAELA (National Association of Elder Law Attorneys), and the FLNAELA (Florida Chapter of National Association of Elder Law Attorneys). Ms. Finley earned her B.A. degree, with highest honors, from the University of Florida and her J.D. degree from the University of Florida Levin College of Law.
BRITTANY GLOERSEN is an attorney at Gloersen Law, P.L. Her areas of concentration are elder law, guardianships, estate planning, and probate. Ms. Gloersen can assist clients cheerfully and capably in matters regarding veterans' benefits, Medicaid benefits, guardianship of minors and elders, and life care planning. She is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, The Florida Bar, the Volusia County Bar Association, and the Department of Veterans Affairs. Ms. Gloersen received her B.A. degree from Stetson University and her J.D. degree from Stetson University College of Law.
DEBRA G. SIMMS is a Florida Bar board certified elder law attorney. Her practice focuses on wills, trusts, powers of attorney, advanced medical directives, living wills, probate, guardianship, and Medicaid planning. Ms. Simms is also certified by The Florida Bar as a mediator and arbitrator. She is active in community organizations and lectures on Elder Law topics throughout Florida. Ms. Simms is the chairperson of the Elder Law Section of the Volusia County Bar Association and a member of the National and Florida Academy of Elder Law Attorneys. She is a service provider through MetLife Legal Plan and AARP. Ms. Simms earned her B.S. degree at The Ohio State University and her J.D. degree at Cleveland State University.
