Richard Abraham is a member in the law firm of Abraham & Bauer, LLC, in Towson, Maryland. His practice focuses on elder law, including asset preservation, asset management in a fiduciary setting, medical assistance plans, medical assistance applications, guardianship, and special needs planning; estate and trust planning; and probate. He is a frequent lecturer on those topics, among others at McCormick Spices, Johns Hopkins Hospital and University, St. Joseph's Hospital, the pre-retirees of Baltimore City government, the Social Security Administration, Northrop Grumman, Bethlehem Steel, and the Baltimore and Bethesda Kiwanis clubs. Mr. Abraham is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association (Elder Law and Estate Planning sections); the Baltimore County Bar Association, where he has chaired different committees; The National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA); and The Geriatric Assistance Information Network of Harford County. He is also a past member of the Baltimore City Bar Association and its Executive Committee. Mr. Abraham earned his B.A degree from Ohio Wesleyan University and his J.D. degree from Capital University Law School, where he was the recipient of the Dean's Award.
