Franklin Aba-Onu is an attorney with Bassford Remele. Prior to joining the firm Mr. Aba-Onu practiced in the areas of insurance defense, subrogation, and appellate law. He also served as an assistant attorney general in both the public safety and human services divisions, where he gained extensive knowledge on constitutional and administrative law, practicing on issues regarding the Minnesota Implied Consent Law, mental health, licensing, and health and child care matters, as well as consumer fraud issues. Mr. Aba-Onu now practices in all areas of civil litigation, with a focus in general liability, products liability, professional liability and employment law. He graduated cum laude from the University of St. Thomas School of Law, where he participated in the Jessup International Moot Court, receiving a top oralist and best brief award. Mr. Aba-Onu earned his B.A. degree from DePauw University. He is currently an adjunct professor with William Mitchell College of Law and is a former adjunct professor at Hamline University.
