Amy Amundsen Ms. Amundsen is the founder and owner of Amundsen Legal Consulting. She has dealt with a variety of highly complex issues, including cases involving extensive business, trusts and personal assets along with the delicate issues surrounding child custody matters. She is a diplomate in the American College of Family Trial Lawyers, which comprises of only one hundred family law trial attorneys across the United States. In addition, Ms. Amundsen is a fellow in the International Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and a fellow in the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (AAML) where she serves on the Legislative and CLE committees. Ms. Amundsen graduated cum laude from Dickinson College and earned her J.D. degree from The University of Memphis, Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law. She is a certified Rule 31 Listed Family Law Mediator and trained as a Collaborative Family Lawyer since 2010 and Family Law Arbitrator since 2020. Ms. Amundsen has served as the president of the Tennessee Bar Association Family Law Section, president of the Leo Bearman, Sr. American Inn of Court, president of the Memphis Bar Association, president of the University of Memphis, Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law Alumni Chapter, president of the Memphis Bar Association Family Law Section and was founder and chair of the TBA Alimony Bench Book for the past twenty years. Ms. Amundsen has been recognized in 2017 by the Tennessee Bar Association for the most outstanding article published in its Journal for that preceding year, by the Memphis Bar Association in 2018 with the highest award to a member of the legal profession, the Judge Jerome Turner Lawyer’s Lawyer Award, and by the Association of Women Attorneys in 2007 for her outstanding achievements in the legal profession.
