What are KY MCLE requirements?
UPDATED MCLE REQUIREMENTS IN RESPONSE TO THE CORONAVIRUS:
The 2019-2020 CLE deadline has been moved to 6/30/2021, in effect combining the 2019-2020 and 2020-2021 CLE reporting years. Kentucky attorneys are required to complete 24 CLE credits, 4 of which must be ethics, by the 6/30/2021 deadline. In addition, the reporting deadline for the combined 2019-2020 and 2020-2021 educational years has been extended to 8/10/2021.
Kentucky attorneys are required to complete 12.00 credit hours every year. All credits can be earned using Live CLE or Technological Format CLE activities
What are KY MCLE specialty credit requirements?
Specialty credit hours may be taken as Live or Technological.
Legal Ethics: 2.00 credit hours (required)
When is the KY MCLE compliance deadline?
June 30th
How do I report my KY MCLE?
Live Seminar:
NBI, Inc. will report your credit to the Kentucky Bar Association. A Verified Certificate of Completion and a Kentucky Certificate of Attendance (KBA Form 3) will be sent to you. Please retain for your records.
Live Teleconferences, Audio Webinars, Webcasts, and Technological:
Attorneys are responsible for tracking and reporting their own CLE credits. A Verified Certificate of Completion and a Kentucky Certificate of Attendance (KBA Form 3) will be sent to you.
Complete and send the KBA Form 3 to the Kentucky Bar Association. Retain the Verified Certificate of Completion for your records.

What are KY MCLE requirements for newly admitted attorneys?
Within 12 months following the date of admission as set forth on the certificate of admission, each person admitted to membership in the Association shall complete the New Lawyer Program requirement.
What is allowed for Technological credit?
Maximum 12.00 credit hours.
