Speaker bio
Mark B. Hazelbaker
is an attorney with Kasieta Legal Group, LLC. He continues to emphasize representation of local governments, small businesses, and litigation. Mr. Hazelbaker began his career as legal counsel of the Wisconsin Counties Association. He served as personnel director/corporation counsel, and later as administrative coordinator for Manitowoc County. Mr. Hazelbaker has been in private practice since 1992, first with downtown Madison law firms, and then in his own firm since 1999. He has lectured many times on labor and employment law, land use law, and municipal law for various business and professional groups. Mr. Hazelbaker has also published law reviews and other articles. He is a member of the Dane County Bar Association and the State Bar of Wisconsin (Litigation and Labor and Employment and Government Lawyers Division sections). Mr. Hazelbaker earned his B.A. degree from the University of Wisconsin and his J.D. degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School.

Nathan G. Osborn
is an equity shareholder with Montgomery Little & Soran, PC, in Greenwood Village, Colorado. His practice is focused on real estate litigation, real estate transactions, and commercial litigation. Mr. Osborn also helps numerous real estate and medical businesses by acting as their full-service corporate attorney. In addition to his work for clients, he can be hired as an expert witness in cases involving real estate issues. Mr. Osborn is licensed to practice in Colorado and Nebraska. He represents a broad mix of clients, but primarily handles matters relating to real estate title and access disputes, title insurance, boundary disputes, landlord-tenant disputes, leases, foreclosures, title agent negligence, liens, easements, real estate purchases and sales, real estate development, condominium conversions, real covenants, spurious liens, partitions, business formation, and real estate broker license complaint cases. Mr. Osborn earned his B.A. degree from Texas Christian University and his J.D. degree, with distinction, from the University of Nebraska College of Law.

James A. Hochman
is a partner with the Chicago firm of Schain Banks Kenny & Schwartz, Ltd., where he represents commercial real estate brokerage firms, landlords, tenants and commercial real estate investors, assisting in all phases of commercial and residential real estate. Mr. Hochman is a frequent speaker on real estate broker related legal issues for state and local estate organizations. He co-wrote and sponsored the Illinois Commercial Real Estate Broker Lien Act, and through his drafting and lobbying efforts, several other states have adopted similar statutes. Mr. Hochman is also active in support of license portability legislation for commercial real estate brokers, and is the architect and drafter of statutes in several estates on that issue as well. He earned his A.B. degree from Brown University and his J.D. degree from Boston University School of Law.

Anita I. Lotz
is a member of the Memphis law firm of Farris Bobango PLC, where her areas of practice include commercial lending, real estate transactions, title law, foreclosures, and financial institutions regulatory law. Ms. Lotz has spoken for various business and professional organizations on a variety of foreclosure and commercial lending issues. She is a member of the Memphis, Tennessee and American (member, Business Law Section) bar associations, and the Association of Women Attorneys. Ms. Lotz earned her B.A. degree from Northwestern University and her J.D. degree from Boston University.
