Michael J. Gorby is a founder and partner with Gorby Peters & Associates, LLC. He is a nationally recognized leader in complex corporate disputes, professional negligence cases, and liability issues that arise for property owners and managers, such as hotel chains, restaurants, shopping centers, apartment complexes, office buildings, and other public venues. Since 1998, Mr. Gorby has served as the program chair for the Institute of Continuing Legal Education in Georgia (an affiliate of the University of Georgia) on the topic of premises liability. He is also the author of a popular legal treatise,
Premises Liability in Georgia, which is published by Thomson Reuters/West, and which is now in its third edition. Mr. Gorby serves as an instructor/lecturer for Georgia Tech Procurement Assistance Center (GTPAC) in the area of procuring government contracts, and is also a registered mediator. He earned his B.A. degree from Georgia State University and his J.D. degree from the University of Georgia School of Law.
Brian J. Pezzillo is a member of Howard & Howard Attorneys, PLLC, where he practices in the areas of medical and recreational marijuana, construction law and litigation, and appeals. He is admitted to practice in New Mexico, Nevada, North Dakota, Arizona, and Colorado; and before the U.S. District Court, districts of Nevada and New Mexico; and the U.S. Court of Appeals, 9th and 11th circuits. Mr. Pezzillo is a member of State Bar of Nevada, State Bar of New Mexico, American Bar Association, and Clark County Bar Association. He serves as an arbitrator and mediator with the American Arbitration Association and the State Bar of Nevada's Fee Dispute Committee, as well as serving as a non-public arbitrator for the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) and as a member of the Southern Nevada Disciplinary Panel. Mr. Pezzillo is also accredited by the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) as a certified information privacy professional/Europe (CIPP/E) and a certified information privacy manager (CIPM). He is also a fellow of the Construction Lawyers Society of America (CLSA) and has been listed as a Mountain States Super Lawyer, and a Best Lawyer in America. Donald A. Wochna formed the E-Data Law Group LLC almost 19 years ago, which is a consortium of experts that design, build, and defend advanced technological solutions to legal challenges in litigation, healthcare, audit, privacy, and security issues. The vision of the E-Data Law Group is to use electronic data to make the practice of law proactive. He obtained one of the first civilian licenses for computer forensic software, and began a business identifying, preserving, extracting, analyzing, and producing electronically stored information, including content, metadata, and artifacts. Mr. Wochna earned his B.S. degree from Cal State Long Beach and his J.D. degree from The Law School, University of Chicago. He has written hundreds of articles related to ediscovery, big data, analytics, and the challenges to the legal profession raised by electronic information systems. His books include
E-discovery: Making the Computer Your Best Witness, published by Ohio State Bar Association; and he is a frequent and lively speaker regarding electronic data issues. Mr. Wochna has testified before the Advisory Committee on Amendments to the Rules of Civil Procedure, and has been influential in shaping the process by which large sparse datasets are defensibly searched to produce relevant information without reliance upon agreed-upon search terms.
