CHARLES W. BEINHAUER is a senior partner in the Buffalo law firm of Pfalzgraf Beinhauer & Menzies LLP. His practice focuses entirely in the fields of estates and trusts, estate administration, and elder law. Mr. Beinhauer is currently a member of the New York State Bar Association Elder Law Committee. He is a member of the Bar Association of Erie County Elder Law Committee, Surrogate Court Practice and Procedure Committee, Lawyers Helping Lawyers Committee, and the Speakers Bureau. Mr. Beinhauer is a former member of the New York State Lawyers Assistance Trust and the New York State Bar Association Lawyers Assistance Committee. TERRANCE W. EMMENS is a partner with Barclay Damon, LLP, and is the team leader for the firms elder law and Medicaid planning groups, where he concentrates his practice on helping seniors get the care they need. Mr. Emmens has extensive experience obtaining NYS Community Medicaid benefits for clients and routinely handles matters involving nursing-home care and asset protection, guardianship planning, estate litigation, and Medicaid-related litigation. He has extensive experience with outright gifts, Medicaid-permitted trusts, supplemental-needs trusts, loans, annuities, and deeds. Mr. Emmens also prepares essential documents such as wills, trusts, powers of attorney, statutory gift riders, health care proxies, and other documents necessary for estate probate and related administration. He is a member of the Monroe County Bar Association and the New York State Bar Association. ANTHONY J. KUHN is a managing partner at Tully Rinckey PLLC, where he is the chair of Tully Rinckey PLLC’s nationwide military and national security practice groups. Mr. Kuhn has served more than 22 years in the U.S. Army and Army Reserve, and is currently serving as the Operations Section NCIOC for a Battalion Headquarters. Mr. Kuhn focuses much of his time on the representation of military personnel, federal agents and employees, as well as private employers and non-profit corporations. His practice areas include corporate, labor and employment, military law, national security representation, and veterans’ benefits. Mr. Kuhn is the co-founder and co-director of the University at Buffalo School of Law Veterans Law practicum and is the adjunct professor for the law school’s first-of-its-kind asynchronistic nationwide Veterans Law course. He is accredited through the Department of Veterans Affairs and is also admitted to practice before the Federal Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims in Washington, DC.
