JONATHAN F. COHEN is the managing partner with Plosia Cohen LLC, where his practice area focuses on labor and employment, civil litigation, and school law. Mr. Cohen is a licensed mediator in the state of New Jersey. He is admitted to practice in New Jersey and before the United States District Court of New Jersey, Third Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court. Mr. Cohen is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association (School Law Committee), Essex County Bar Association, and New Jersey Labor Employment Relations Association (vice president). GEORGE P. GURDAK is a certified public accountant and a certified internal auditor, concentrating on financial management and business planning. He advises organizations on improved operating efficiency and techniques for formulating and implementing a wide range of financial and business strategies. Mr. Gurdak has significant experience in bank compliance, operational risk, Sarbanes-Oxley, 10K/10Q reporting, portfolio credit analysis, budget planning, controllership and treasury operations. Clients include not-for-profit educational, fund raising organizations, real estate, medical and financial firms. He is a member of the Board of Regents at St. Peters College in Jersey City, and serves on the audit committees for St. Peter's College and St. Peter's Preparatory School in Jersey City. Mr. Gurdak served on the Board of Trustees of St. Peter's Preparatory School and as a trustee of Palisades Medical Center. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, New Jersey Society of CPAs and the Institute of Internal Auditors. Mr. Gurdak earned his B.A. degree from St. Peters College in Jersey City.
BRETT R. HARRIS is a shareholder of Wilentz, Goldman & Spitzer, P.A., with offices in Woodbridge and Eatontown, New Jersey; New York City; and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. A business, nonprofit and technology attorney, her broad-based general corporate practice includes transactional matters and client counseling, mergers and acquisitions, document drafting and negotiation, regulatory compliance, and policy development. Ms. Harris has a particular focus on counseling non-profit organizations including entity formation, establishing and maintaining tax exempt status, and complying with fundraising regulations. She counsels boards on governance, mission statement development and strategic planning. In addition, Ms. Harris advises clients on structuring and operating family foundations, including grantmaking due diligence and administration of grant agreements. She has also developed a practice with an emphasis on technology issues including cyber security and social media policies, and handles intellectual property matters, including licensing, trademarks and copyrights. Ms. Harris is general counsel to the New Jersey Women Lawyers Association, serving on the Executive Board of the organization. NOEL D. HUMPHREYS is of counsel with Connell Foley LLP, where he limits his practice to business transactions, lending transactions, organizational governance and intellectual property. Mr. Humphreys is admitted to practice law in New Jersey and New York, and before the U.S. District Court of New Jersey and the U.S. District Court of New York (Eastern and Southern).
