SARAH M. ANDERSON is managing attorney for Universal Title in Arlington, Virginia. Ms. Anderson is a licensed title agent in Virginia, D.C., and Maryland. She conducts real estate settlements, serves as escrow agent, reviews sales contracts, reviews title reports and prepares title commitments, and resolves title curative issues as they arise. In addition, Ms. Anderson drafts land use agreements, deeds and other legal documentation related to real property. She is a member of the Virginia State Bar and the Idaho State Bar. Ms. Anderson earned her B.A. degree from Brigham Young University and her J.D. degree from the University of Utah, College of Law.
TODD CONDRON is a partner at Leggett, Simon, Freemyers & Lyon, PLC. Mr. Condron attended the West Virginia University College of Law, graduating in 2001 as a member of the WVU Moot Court Board. After years of being a title examiner during law school, Mr. Condron started with the law firm of Hunzeker, Lyon & Leggett PLC in McLean, in early 2002, where he practiced real estate law for the next 6 years. Specializing in residential real estate settlements, he represented MBH Settlement Group, which was one of the largest title companies in Northern Virginia and the DC Metro Area, and conducted thousands of closings between 2002-2008. On March 1, 2008, he left HL&L along with four other partners and formed Leggett Simon Freemyers & Lyon, PLC, based out of Reston, and they also formed Ekko Title, L.C., which now has eight offices in the Northern Virginia region. Mr. Condron gave a keynote speech at the 2007 NVAR Annual Convention on the topic of Short Sales & Foreclosures and gave the keynote speech at the 2015 PWAR Annual Convention on the topic of the then newly-minted Virginia Residential Sales Contract. He has served as chairman of the NVAR Attorney’s Roundtable advisory committee, and also served on the NVAR Standard Forms Committee during the year when the new Virginia Residential Sales Contract was formed. Mr. Condron was nominated and accepted as a Northern Virginia representative to the Real Estate Section of the Virginia State Bar Association in September 2009, and now serves on the Ethics Committee to the Real Estate Section.
TERRY L. FOX is an attorney with Fox & Moghul Attorneys at Law. Mr. Fox has over 25 years' experience in real estate transactions, both commercial and residential. He has represented home owner associations and homeowners, in litigation and served as an HOA board member for several years. He is an active member of both the California and Virginia bars, and a licensed settlement attorney. Mr. Fox has worked on thousands of real estate transactions for large and small companies, serving his clients by negotiating the contract or lease, advising them in all due diligence matters such as in acquiring full ALTA surveys, identifying and resolving title issues, feasibility studies, environmental studies, zoning and governmental planning issues, and ultimately negotiating satisfactory terms for the client. He has represented both homeowner associations and homeowners in lawsuits concerning violations of HOA rules and regulations. Additionally, Mr. Fox has been practicing trademark law since 1993 and has intellectual property clients from Hawaii to Connecticut, and has successfully prevailed before the United States Patent & Trademark Appeals Board. In addition to his trademark experience, he also has extensive experience in intellectual property transfer and licensing joint ventures. Mr. Fox earned his B.S. degree from Newport University, his J.D. degree from Franklin Pierce Law Center, and his Master of Intellectual Property Law degree from Franklin Pierce Law Center.
ELIZABETH R. SEUFERLING has been the owner of Rogers Abstracts since 1992 and has moved the company through many changes over the last 26 years. She has worked in the title industry since 1981. Ms. Seuferling is a director for the Security Title Guarantee Corporation of Baltimore and the Maryland Mortgage Company. She earned her liberal arts degree from Towson University and studied advanced business studies at the University of Seville, Spain. Ms. Seuferling is a director and treasurer for the Moreland Memorial Park Cemetery, and former member of the Auxiliary Board of Governors at St. Agnes Hospital.
SARA TUSSEY is a senior associate with Rosenberg & Associates, LLC, where she practices real estate law with a focus on litigation, foreclosure, and evictions. Ms. Tussey earned her B.A. degree in English from the Pennsylvania State University and her J.D. degree, cum laude, from the Pennsylvania State University Dickinson School of Law. She was casenote editor of the Penn State Law Review, notarius of the John Reed Inn of Phi Delta Phi, and was elected to the Order of Barristers. She serves as a panelist at default industry events and writes articles for industry related publications. Ms. Tussey is admitted to practice in Virginia, New York, Maryland, and the District of Columbia.
SAM WHITSON is a land surveyor with B.W. Smith and Associates. He has more than 40 years of experience in all fields of land surveying and 20 years as a professional. He serves the Northern Virginia area. Mr. Whitson gives lectures to real estate agents covering various aspects of land surveying and problem solving when title problems occur at the request of his settlement attorneys. He has also served as an expert witness in litigation cases in the Northern Virginia areas.
