What is NBI?

NBI (National Business Institute) is a division of NBI, Inc. NBI has been providing legal education to attorneys, accountants, human resource and insurance professionals, real estate agents and all other corporate and legal professionals for over 20 years. How can I find a seminar in my city?

Finding a seminar is easy. On our home page, listed under the heading “Seminars coming your way soon…” is an area for you to search for upcoming seminar topics by location. Simply fill in the fields requested, including your zip code, and submit your search. You’ll receive results specific to your location. From there you can search each seminar listing for more specific course information.

Finding more information is easy. When you search for a seminar, you’ll find our “Get Details Section”. This section will provide key information relating to the seminar you are interested in. You’ll be able to view the agenda, review the date of the program and even register!

How do I register for a seminar?

Registering for an NBI seminar is quick and easy. If you have the seminar number, found near the registration section of your brochure, you can use the “Quick Seminar Registration” listed on every page of our site. Otherwise you can search for a program under Live Seminars or “Seminars Coming Your Way Soon”.

How will I confirm that you received my online order?

When you register online, you have two convenient options for receiving an order confirmation. At the end of your purchase you will be presented with a detailed confirmation page that you can print for future reference. Additionally, simply enter your email address where prompted, and we will send a detailed confirmation for your records.

How late can I register for a seminar?

You may register at the door; however, pre-registration is encouraged. If you need to register at the door, we recommend you call us first to confirm availability and any schedule or location changes.

Do you offer multiple attendee discounts?

Yes! The more you bring from your organization, the more you save. After the first registration, each additional attendee receives $10, for a full or half day event, off their total tuition.

Will I qualify for continuing professional education credit by attending a seminar?

Our seminars qualify for a variety of different continuing education credit for a wide range of professions. You can find more information about the credit you may be eligible for in two areas. The first is on the seminar brochure. Each brochure includes a detailed listing of credit available for each seminar. The second area is found in the Live Seminars section of this site. If you have a more detailed question regarding continuing education credits, please call our Credit Service Department at 866-240-1890.

How do I obtain verification of attendance for credit reporting purposes?

All attendees will receive a personalized certificate of completion upon the conclusion of a live seminar. You may use this certificate to verify your participation for meeting professional education requirements.

What about lunch and parking?

Unless otherwise noted, lunch and parking are on your own. For your convenience, we select locations for our seminars that have dining establishments within the facility or nearby. To obtain directions and parking information please contact the hotel associated with the seminar you are interested in.

What should I wear?

Business causal attire is appropriate. We recommend that you bring a light sweater or a jacket for extra comfort.

What time does the seminar start?

Starting times for our seminars can vary. The exact start and end time associated with each program is listed in the “Get Details” section of our Live Seminars listings.

Will I receive course materials?

Yes! You will receive a comprehensive course reference manual specific to the seminar you are attending. The reference manual is written by the seminar presenters and serves as a valuable reference for you during and after the program. There is space for note taking and each manual is bound so storage after the seminar is neat and convenient. The reference manual allows you to take the seminar home with you for future personal review or for study by others in your office.

What are my payment options?

We accept a wide variety of payment options. These include MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Personal or Corporate Check or a Purchase Order.

Do you ever cancel a seminar?

We make every effort to hold each advertised seminar. However, at times we many need to cancel a program for reasons that are outside of our control. In the event that we do have to cancel a seminar an NBI customer service representative will contact each registered attendee.

What is your refund policy?

We understand that plans change. If you find you can no longer attend the program please contact one of our Customer Service Representatives. We'd be happy to assist you by transferring your registration to a colleague, setting up a credit for a different NBI seminar, or sending you the manual and audio recording of the event. If you prefer, you may receive a full refund, less a $20 processing fee, if you cancel 4 or more business days prior to the seminar. Any cancellation received within 3 business days of the seminar will not be eligible for a cash refund.

Do you guarantee satisfaction?

Your satisfaction is our guarantee! If you aren't satisfied with a seminar or training resource, call or write us and we'll make it right.

How will I be notified of any changes to my scheduled seminar?

If there are any changes to the seminar you are scheduled to attend, you will be notified by an NBI Customer Service Representative as soon as possible.

Can I send someone else in my place if I can’t attend?

If you cannot attend a program, you may transfer your registration to another person, by contacting our customer service department at 800-930-6182.

I need special accommodations, what do I do?

We take pride in meeting the individual needs of all seminar participants. All of our seminars are held in facilities that are accessible for all ability levels. Other special needs requests are easily handled by contacting our customer service department at 800-930-6182.

Is hardship tuition assistance available for New York attorneys?

Do you have additional reference materials for purchase?

I’ve ordered your reference materials, how long will it take for me to receive them?

If you have ordered reference materials from an event that has already been held, your order will be shipped in approximately five business days. If you have ordered reference materials from an event that has yet to be held, your materials will be shipped approximately two weeks after the event date.
