TROY N. GIATRAS is a sole practioner in Giatras Law Firm PLLC. He has practice criminal defense for more than 30 years and has handled felonies and misdemeanors in state and federal courts. He earned his B.A. degree from Duquesne University and his J.D. degree from West Virginia University. CHRISTOPHER S. MORRIS is a partner in the firm Bailey & Glasser, LLP. He is a seasoned trial attorney who focuses his practice on the litigation of business disputes and complex matters. In addition to his time spent as federal law clerk, Mr. Morris has spent much of his career presenting cases to West Virginia state and federal juries. He maintained a solo practice and served as a county prosecutor before joining a large regional firm, which he left to join Bailey & Glasser, LLP. Mr. Morris regularly represents both defendants and plaintiffs in civil actions involving failed banks and corporations, breaches of contract and warranty, and employment matters. He has handled a number of civil defenses which have resulted in plaintiffs paying significant amounts to his clients, and he has experience with commercial litigation involving amounts exceeding one billion dollars. SMITH is an attorney in Charleston where he practices in the areas of criminal defense, personal injury and domestic relations. He is a former adjunct professor at West Virginia State College teaching criminal law and has lectured to legal professionals on trial related topics. Mr. Smith earned his B.S. degree from the West Virginia University and his J.D. degree from the West Virginia University College of Law. He is a member of the West Virginia State Bar, the American Bar Association (member, Family Law Section), the West Virginia Trial Lawyers Association, and the American Trial Lawyers Association. BRYANT J. SPANN is an attorney with Allen Guthrie & Thomas, PLLC since 2002, where he has focused on defending product liability cases and financial litigation. For the past several years, he maintains an active federal criminal defense practice, representing corporate and individual defendants in financial fraud, taxation, public corruption, and other serious matters. Mr. Spann has repeatedly been hand-selected by federal judges to represent criminal defendants and habeas petitioners in especially complex cases. He is a member of the Kanawha County Bar Association, The West Virginia State Bar and Judge John A. Field, Jr. American Inn of Court. Mr. Spann earned his B.A. degree, summa cum laude, from Washington & Lee University and his J.D. degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Georgia School of Law. JOHN H. TINNEY JR. is a partner in the law firm The Tinney Law Firm, PLLC. Admitted to practice in 1995, he worked in private practice for three years before serving as law clerk to the Honorable Robert B. Kling on the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals. Following his clerkship, Mr. Tinney joined the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of West Virginia. While an assistant U.S. attorney, he prosecuted a variety of cases and represented the U.S. before the Circuit Court of Appeals. At The Tinney Law Firm, Mr. Tinney has continued to represent a variety of diverse client in federal and state courts, including the defense of the Supreme Court of Appeals of West Virginia in constitutional challenges to the court's trial court rules and judicial recusal proceedings.
