CHRISTOPHER R. ARTHUR is an attorney with Samuel I. White, P.C., where his practice areas include bankruptcy, commercial and civil litigation, predatory lending litigation, real estate disputes and other litigation involving real property, creditors' rights, debt collection, evictions, and foreclosures. Mr. Arthur has tried cases as first or second chair in federal district and bankruptcy courts, and state circuit and magistrate courts, including trials involving allegations of consumer protection or truth-in-lending violations (i.e., predatory lending). He is a member of the West Virginia State Bar; the West Virginia Bar Association, Bankruptcy Committee; the Defense Trial Lawyers Association; and the Kanawha County Bar Association. He is the chair person for the U.S. Bankruptcy Court's Committee to Adopt New Local Rules for the Northern District of West Virginia and a member of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court's Committee to Adopt New Local Rules for the Southern District of West Virginia. Mr. Arthur earned his B.A. degree and his B.S. degree, summa cum laude and with honors, from West Virginia University, where he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa; and his J.D. degree, Order of the Coif, from West Virginia University College of Law, where he served on the West Virginia Law Review. PHILIP B. HEREFORD is a member of the law firm of Hereford & Riccardi, PLLC, in Charleston. He practices in the areas of banking, bankruptcy and commercial law, and is a frequent speaker on these topics. Mr. Hereford is a member of the Kanawha, The West Virginia and American bar associations. He has earned a B.A. degree from Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia and his J.D. degree from West Virginia University. LYNN B. POLLARD is the managing partner in the law firm of Hamilton, Burgess, Young & Pollard, PLLC, where she practices in the areas of real estate, business formation and planning, bankruptcy and estate planning. Ms. Pollard earned her B.S. degree from Davis & Elkins College and her J.D. degree from West Virginia University. She received the West Virginia University College of Law, Women's Law Caucus 2003 Distinguished Women in the Law Award. She has been a Chapter 11 trustee, and is a member of the Fayette County Bar Association, The West Virginia State Bar and The West Virginia Trial Lawyers Association.
