RICHARD J. CAYO is president of the Milwaukee law firm of Halling & Cayo, S.C. A large portion of his practice consists of defending lawyers in discipline matters, advising law firms on ethics and malpractice issues, and testifying as an expert witness on lawyers' professional responsibility. Mr. Cayo has been a frequent author and speaker on lawyers' professional responsibility. He earned his B.A. and J.D. degrees from the University of Wisconsin. Mr. Cayo is a member of the Milwaukee Bar Association (Board of Directors 1995-98), the State Bar of Wisconsin (Litigation Section, Board of Governors 1992-99) and the Wisconsin Academy of Trial Lawyers, where he served as an associate editor of its quarterly magazine, The Verdict. He has been a member of the National Organization of Bar Counsel, the Association of Professional Responsibility Lawyers and has served on the State and Supreme Court Committees to review the Model Rules of Professional Responsibility. RAYMOND M. DALL'OSTO is a partner in the Milwaukee law firm of Gimbel, Reilly, Guerin & Brown LLP. His practice is concentrated in civil litigation, criminal and white collar defense, constitutional rights, professional licensing, ethics and employment. Mr. Dall'Osto earned his B.A. and J.D. degrees from Marquette University. He has served as legal director of the Wisconsin ACLU, as a public defender and was an adjunct professor at Marquette Law School. Mr. Dall'Osto is a member of the Milwaukee and Illinois State bar associations, and the State Bar of Wisconsin (member, State Bar Board of Governors; former member, Professional Ethics Committee, past chair of the Individual Rights Section, and past chair of the Criminal Law Section). He also is a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and its Wisconsin affiliate. TERRY E. NILLES is a shareholder in the law firm of von Briesen & Roper, S.C., where he chairs the firm's Ethics Committee. He earned his B.A. degree from Lawrence University and his J.D. degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Michigan. Since graduating law school, Mr. Nilles has focused his practice on commercial litigation. He is a past chair of the Milwaukee Bar Association's Professionalism Committee and has been a frequent lecturer on legal ethics. Mr. Nilles is a member of the American Bar Association, the State Bar of Wisconsin, the Milwaukee Bar Association, the Federation of Insurance and Corporate Counsel and the Association of Professional Responsibility Lawyers.
