JAMES H. GORMLEY JR. is special counsel with the firm of Foley & Lardner LLP, in the Milwaukee office, where he practices in the areas of real estate and land use law. His practice involves advising clients on all aspects of real estate transactions. Mr. Gormley represents purchasers and sellers of real estate, as well as commercial mortgage lenders and borrowers, and landlords and tenants. In addition, he is a LEED Accredited Professional. He has previously served as village president in Whitefish Bay for 12 years. Mr. Gormley is a member of the American Bar Association, the State Bar of Wisconsin and the Milwaukee Bar Association. He earned his B.S. degree from the U.S. Air Force Academy, his M.B.A. degree from Arizona State University and his J.D. degree from Marquette University. CHERI A. HIPENBECKER is agency counsel for Knight-Barry Title Group. After graduating from the University of Minnesota Law School, Ms. Hipenbecker went into private practice for seven years, focusing on real estate and business law. She joined Knight-Barry Title Group in January of 2007 and has since utilized her skills to help grow the business by expanding into new markets, including Knight-Barry's Green Bay office, which opened in June of 2008; the Sun Prairie office, which opened in July of 2009; the Appleton office, which opened in May of 2010; and the national presence enabling Knight-Barry to write title insurance in more than half of the states in the United States. On a daily basis, Ms. Hipenbecker serves as a first point of contact for Knight-Barry's staff on legal matters. In addition to her presence in the office, she enjoys her speaking opportunities outside of the office, speaking on topics ranging from what is a title commitment to how to solve complex title issues. BRAD L.F. HOESCHEN is an attorney at Chernov, Stern & Krings, S.C., where he practices in the areas of real estate litigation and transactional practice. His litigation practice includes trial work and appeals with experience in advising and representing condominium associations. In addition, he also focuses on real estate leasing, mediation and arbitration, taxation, zoning, and business corporation issues. Mr. Hoeschen also concentrates on the purchase and sale of residential, commercial, industrial and developmental property, while practicing real estate brokerage law and prevention of broker liability, boundary and adjoining landowner disputes. His services also extend to handling boundary and adjoining landowner disputes. He has argued in front of the Wisconsin Supreme Court and is a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin (Real Estate and Sports, Entertainment Practice groups). Mr. Hoeschen had a successful career as a print and broadcast journalist, both in Milwaukee and New Orleans, where he specialized in reporting on banking, finance, insurance and real estate. Mr. Hoeschen earned his J.D. degree from Marquette University Law School and his B.L.S. degree from Loyola University - New Orleans. While in law school, he served as an associate justice for Marquette Moot Court. BRUCE A. MCILNAY is an attorney with the Grafton law firm of McIlnay Business Law, LLC. His areas of practice include business and commercial law, commercial leasing, commercial real estate, complex litigation, condominiums and cooperatives, formation and business planning, land use and zoning, and real estate law. Mr. McIlnay has also developed an understanding of land use planning and its relation to commercial development. His first substantial experience in this area motivated him to serve as a trustee in the village of Grafton, Wisconsin for a two year term. During his term, he played a substantial role in the complete redrafting of the zoning code for the village of Grafton. This gave Mr. McIlnay a unique perspective regarding zoning and planning issues. Since 1984, his practice has evolved from a concentration in commercial litigation, to a broader-based business practice. Mr. McIlnay works with many businesses from their inception, assisting them in making choices about the form the business should take, possible agreements among the owners, and planning for growth and change. He works with his clients in the development of contracts and other documents for regular use or special projects. Recently, much of the contract development has related in some fashion to development or use of technology. He earned his B.A. degree and his J.D. degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. Mr. McIlnay is admitted to practice in Wisconsin; the U.S. Court of Appeals, 7th Circuit; and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern and Western districts of Wisconsin. DENNIS L. SIMON is a partner in the Appleton office of Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP, where he practices in the areas of real estate, real estate litigation, commercial contracts, banking contracts, business organization, business transactions, and personal and business financial and succession planning. He has lectured on real estate and title matters to various professionals. Mr. Simon earned his B.B.A. degree from the University of Notre Dame and his J.D. degree from the University of Colorado. He is a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin (member, Real Estate, Probate and Trust; Environmental; and Business Transactions section), and the Outagamie County, Winnebago County and American bar associations.DUANE H. WUNSCH is vice president and Wisconsin State Counsel for Fidelity National Title Group. He has more than 30 years of experience, including searching and examining titles, closing transactions, and handling title insurance claims. Mr. Wunsch is a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin, the Milwaukee Bar Association and the Wisconsin Land Title Association. He earned his B.A degree from the University of Wisconsin, Madison and J.D. degree from Emory University.
