J. DAVID KREKELER is a principal shareholder with Krekeler Strother, S.C., in Madison, which devotes a substantial portion of its practice to debtor-creditor, bankruptcy, collections and foreclosure matters. Mr. Krekeler's practice includes representation of debtors, creditors and bankruptcy trustees. He actively engages in cases under chapters 7, 11, 12 and 13 of the Bankruptcy Code. He has given many seminars and presentations on bankruptcy and creditor's rights. He earned his B.S. degree from the University of Missouri, St. Louis and his J.D. degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School. Mr. Krekeler is a member of both the Creditor's Rights Section and the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Section of the Commercial Law League of America, and has been certified as a business bankruptcy specialist. He is past chairman of the Western District Bankruptcy Bar and is a member of the National Association of Retail Collection Attorneys. MISKE is an attorney in the Milwaukee office of Whyte Hirschboeck Dudek S.C., where he concentrates his practice in the areas of condominium law, civil litigation, collections and business law. Within these areas of practice he handles trials, foreclosures and appeals for businesses, condominium associations, insurance companies and individuals in a variety of matters including contract disputes, liens, Fair Debt Collection Practices Act Claims, unfair trade practices and insurance defense. Prior to that, he ran his own practice focusing on family, criminal, and general litigation. He graduated with honors from the University of Wisconsin Law School, and has an undergraduate degree in political science from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Mr. Pagel writes consumer law case updates, has published articles in Wisconsin Lawyer on creditor/debtor and consumer issues, and has spoken to lawyers' groups and presented seminars on topics ranging from the doctrine of necessaries to enforcement of Wisconsin's mortgage broker and consumer laws. Recently, he was asked to help train mediators for foreclosure mediation in Iowa County, Wisconsin. (Madison location) BENJAMIN P. PAYNE is a partner in the Milwaukee law firm of Hanson & Payne, LLC, where he practices primarily on creditor work, including collections, banking law and preference defense. He has also spoken for the State Bar of Wisconsin and National Business Institute. Mr. Payne has lectured to the Eastern District of Wisconsin Bankruptcy Court and the Waukesha County Bar Association on bankruptcy. He is a member of the Bankruptcy, Insolvency, and Creditors' Rights section of the State Bar of Wisconsin, and is a case editor for the section. Mr. Payne is admitted to practice in the state of Wisconsin, and before the bankruptcy courts for the Eastern and Western districts of Wisconsin, and the Northeastern District of Illinois. Mr. Payne has been admitted pro hac vice to bankruptcy courts around the country representing clients in preference defense cases. ULLENBERG is the principal attorney of Ullenberg Law Offices. His practice is concentrated in the areas of commercial litigation (of claims over $25,000) and general business counseling. Within this practice area, he routinely assists businesses with credit law compliance and handles litigation and trials in a variety of commercial matters including collection of consumer and commercial debts (both before and after judgment), resolution of contract disputes, foreclosure and repossession of collateral, and enforcement of creditor's rights in bankruptcy.
