CONNIE M. CHESNIK is an attorney with the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families, where she has worked for the past 25 years. In that capacity, she has advised the child support program for the last 13 years. Ms. Chesnik is a frequent lecturer on child support related issues and has published many articles. She is a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin and the State and National Child Support Enforcement Associations. Ms. Chesnik earned both her undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. HON. SHELLEY J. GAYLORD was elected to the Dane County Circuit Court, Branch 6, for a term that began on August 1, 2003. Prior to her present position, Judge Gaylord served as a full time Madison municipal judge from 1993 to 2003, following election in 1993 and re-election in 1997 and 2001. She currently is serving on the Juvenile Benchbook Committee and Advisory Committee for Juvenile Court Benchmarks. Judge Gaylord is a frequent lecturer for continuing education for municipal judges and attorneys. RHONDA GORDEN is the assistant corporation counsel and child support director for Ozaukee County Corporation Counsel. Her legal responsibilities include establishment and enforcement of child support orders, CHIPS, mental health commitments, small claims and research for the county. Ms. Gorden earned her B.A. degree from Bethel University in St. Paul, Minnesota and her J.D. degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She currently serves on the legal assistance committee for the State Bar of Wisconsin and has her own pro bono law practice. DAVID E. JOANIS is a partner with the law firm of Balisle & Roberson, S.C. He is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. Mr. Joanis graduated from the Marshall-Wythe School of Law at William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia. He practiced in La Crosse, Wisconsin from 1975 to 1991, focusing primarily on family law. Since moving to Madison, Wisconsin, Mr. Joanis's practice has been exclusively in the area of family law. While he frequently acts as a guardian ad litem in contested cases involving children and is frequently selected to mediate cases, he also is active in divorce trial practice. Mr. Joanis is the co-author with Linda S. Balisle of "Compensation on Dissolution of Marriage for Spousal Contributions to Education," 31 Am. Jur. Trials 1, and a co-author with Kenneth Waldron, Ph.D, of "Understanding and Collaboratively Treating Parental Alienation Syndrome," American Journal of Family Law , Volume X, No. 3, Fall 1996. He is licensed to practice in the state of Wisconsin and is admitted to the State Bar of Wisconsin. CHRISTOPHER S. KRIMMER is a senior associate with Balisle & Roberson, S.C. He is an experienced attorney in family law, gay and lesbian civil rights, HIV law, and estate planning. Mr. Krimmer graduated from the University of Wisconsin Law School, cum laude, and the University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee, magna cum laude. He is an adjunct professor for Marquette Law School, where he teaches sexual orientation and the law, pretrial skills and consumer law. Mr. Krimmer also has taught business and regulatory law at the University of Phoenix-Brookfield Campus. He is frequently requested to speak across the state on legal issues involving estate planning and nontraditional family protections. Prior to joining Balisle & Roberson, S.C., Mr. Krimmer established the Legal Services Program of the AIDS Resource Center of Wisconsin, the first statewide HIV legal services program providing free legal representation to persons living with HIV and AIDS. He has received numerous pro bono awards including the Dane County Pro Bono Attorney of the Year award, the Executive Director's Award from the AIDS Network and the Volunteer of the Year award from the AIDS Network. Mr. Krimmer authored "HIV Confidentiality in Wisconsin," Wisconsin Lawyer , March, 2002; "Business Owners in Divorce," Wisconsin Lawyer , June, 2008; "Representing Gay and Lesbian Clients," Wisconsin Journal of Family Law , July, 2009; and "Wisconsin's Domestic Partnership Law," Wisconsin Lawyer , November, 2009. He also was selected as a Rising Star in the publication Law & Politics . Mr. Krimmer is licensed to practice in the state of Wisconsin, and is admitted to practice before the U.S. Federal Eastern District of Wisconsin and the U.S. Federal Western District of Wisconsin. ITZHAK MATUSIAK is a licensed psychologist, president and director of clinical services at Comprehensive Clinical & Consulting Services, Inc. in Milwaukee, which is a state certified outpatient mental health, drug and alcohol treatment facility. His private practice, which began in 1977, includes psychodiagnosis and psychotherapy with children, adolescents, and adults; family and group counseling; business management consulting; forensic psychology; and pain management. Dr. Matusiak has extensive experience working with children and families, and has served as a court appointed expert in hundreds of cases on various matters, including the best interests of children, guardianship, and competency, as well as by retainer in cases such as workers compensation evaluation, personal injury, medical malpractice and more. His nearly 40-year career in psychology also includes work as a school psychologist for the Milwaukee Public school system and as a consulting psychologist for a private adoption service. Dr. Matusiak currently serves as director of psychological services at Advanced Pain Management, which is one of the largest interventional pain management organizations in the country. He is a licensed psychologist, by the Wisconsin State Board, and holds a lifetime certification as a school psychologist in the state of Wisconsin. Dr. Matusiak earned his B.A. and M.S. degrees from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and his Ph.D. from Marquette University. He is a member of the American Psychological Association, the Wisconsin Psychological Association and AAPB (Association for Applied Psychophysiology and Biofeedback). JOEL WINNIG is a sole practitioner in Madison. Mr. Winnig has represented working people and small businesses for more than 33 years. He has extensive experience in civil and criminal trials, with an emphasis on family law cases. Mr. Winnig also has significant experience handling divorce cases in the Court of Appeals. He has previously lectured on many occasions to professional groups on various aspects of divorce and family law. In 2011, Mr. Winnig ran for the Wisconsin Supreme Court. He is a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin, the Wisconsin Association for Justice and the Dane County Criminal Defense Lawyers Association. Mr. Winnig earned his B.S. degree, with honors, and his J.D. degree from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
