JAMES W. ARMSTRONG is the sole practitioner of Armstrong Law Offices in Kent, where he concentrates his practice on workers' compensation and Social Security disability law. Prior to earning his B.A. degree in Political Science from Western Washington University and his J.D. degree from Seattle University School of Law; he served in the United States Marine Corps, where he was a member of the United States Marine Band, Hawaii. He is the current president of the Loren Miller Bar Association and an eagle member of the Washington State Administration for Justice. SHERRY DAVIES is a partner and shareholder in the law firm of Vandeberg Johnson & Gandara. Prior to joining Vandeberg Johnson & Gandara, Ms. Davies was a partner at Reinisch, Weier & Mackenzie. She was also a paralegal employed by the Attorney General's Office for eight years. Ms. Davies practices in the areas of self-insured and state fund employer advice, representation concerning workers' compensation, industrial insurance and employer services. She is a member of the Washington State Bar Association, American Bar Association, Tacoma-Pierce County Bar Association, Washington Self-Insurers Association and Professionals in Workers' Compensation. She also serves on the Washington Self-Insurers Association Legislative Committee. Ms. Davies earned her B.A. degree from Central Washington University and her J.D. degree from Seattle University. KATHRYN KUNKLER is an attorney in the law firm of Keehn Kunkler, PLLC. Her practice focuses on workers' compensation defense, where she represents self-insured employers in the state of Washington, as well as area state fund employers. Ms. Kunkler has been involved in the organization and presentation of educational conferences for the professionals in workers' compensation. She earned her B.A. degree from Washington State University and her J.D. degree from the University of Oregon. Ms. Kunkler is a member of the Washington State Bar Association, the Professionals in Workers' Compensation (board of directors and secretary) and the Washington Self-Insured Association. ROBERT A. SILBER is a primary trial attorney with Foster Law Office PC, where he represents injured workers in administrative appeals before the Board of Industrial Insurance Appeals and at Superior Court. In addition to his litigation work, Mr. Silber manages a large number of ongoing claims at the department level. He earned his B.A. degree in Political Science from the University of California at Santa Cruz, his masters degree in East European Studies from Indiana University and his J.D. degree from DePaul University in Chicago. Mr. Silber is in good standing with the Washington State Bar Association and the Washington State Association for Justice. He regularly speaks at conferences on topics related to workers' compensation.
