DAVID J. LENCI is a partner in the Seattle office of K&L Gates LLP. He is an experienced litigator who has represented clients from both the public sector and the private sector in complex civil litigation and appeals for more than 30 years in state and federal court. Mr. Lenci's practice emphasizes business litigation, including intellectual property, unfair competition and other business torts and securities litigation. He was a federal prosecutor with the Antitrust Division of the U.S. Department of Justice for more than five years and served three years as the chief civil litigator for the Snohomish County Prosecutor's Office. Mr. Lenci has served as a mediator, an arbitrator and pro tem judge. He also has volunteered as a fee dispute arbitrator with the Washington State Bar Association. Mr. Lenci earned his B.A. degree from Dartmouth College and his J.D. degree, with high honors, from the University of Washington School of Law. LISA M. MARCHESE is a partner in the Seattle office of Dorsey & Whitney LLP, where her litigation practice has emphasized trial of complex cases involving products liability, contract disputes and construction claims. Ms. Marchese was an adjunct professor of law at Seattle University School of Law, where she taught courses in pretrial advocacy from 1999 to 2008. She also is an adjunct professor of law at the University of Washington, where she serves as an instructor in the Trial Advocacy program. Ms. Marchese has tried cases in both state and federal courts in Washington and Oregon. She is experienced before arbitration panels, government boards and other tribunals throughout the western United States and serves on the panel of arbitrators for King County Superior Court, State of Washington. Ms. Marchese has been recognized as a “Super Lawyer” (as voted by her peers) in Law & Politics magazine's list of the top lawyers in Washington. In 2010, she was voted to the Law & Politics list of "Top 50 Women Washington Lawyers." In 2008, she was inducted into the American Board of Trial Advocates. She earned her B.A. degree, summa cum laude, from Catholic University of America and her J.D. degree from Georgetown University. Ms. Marchese is a member of the Washington State Bar Association, the American (member, Forum on Construction Industry) Bar Association, the Oregon State Bar, the Washington Defense Trial Lawyers Association, where Ms. Marchese is a member of the Board of Trustees and serves as chair of the Product Liability Committee. VICKI L. OSBORN is a senior paralegal and project manager with Dorsey & Whitney LLP. Ms. Osborn has more than 15 years of experience in the areas of complex civil and trial litigation involving products liability, contract disputes, vehicle warranties, construction defect, senior living, labor and employment and educational funding. She previously worked for Foster Pepper PLLC, Seattle, Washington and Bowman and Brooke LLP in Phoenix, Arizona for clients such as Ford, BMW, Toyota, U-Haul and Expedia. Ms. Osborn was instrumental in providing a plaintiffs victory in McCleary v. State of Washington while leading the discovery, document management and trial coordination efforts at Foster Pepper PLLC. Ms. Osborn specializes in complex project and document management of major trials, including management of contract attorneys, vendors and case assistants. She led in the development and institution of a paralegal training program within Dorsey & Whitney and is a certified trainer in Concordance. Ms. Osborn earned her Master of Arts degree from the University of Phoenix, American Bar Association Approved Paralegal Certification from the Arizona Paralegal Institute, and her B.A. degree from the University of Nebraska. THEDA YANDELL, RP, is employed as a paralegal in the law firm of Forsberg & Umlauf, P.S., a litigation defense firm. She currently participates in personal injury, premise liability, property damage, and product liability cases. During her more than 22 years paralegal career, she has also assisted in the areas of legal malpractice, medical malpractice, employment litigation and construction defect. While she has been involved primarily in defense work, she has also participated in plaintiff cases. She has assisted in many trials during her career. Ms. Yandell is a member of the National Federation of Paralegal Associations (NFPA) and is currently the Director for Region I. She is also a member and past president of the Washington State Paralegal Association (WSPA). Ms. Yandell became a PACE Registered Paralegal (RP) in December 2006. She graduated from Highline Community College with an A.A. degree and an A.A.S. degree, Legal Assistant. She is a member of the Highline Community College Advisory Board and volunteers at the Kent Legal Clinic. She has been a speaker on trial preparation for WSPA and IPE.
