LYLE M. CLARK JR. maintains a solo practice in Bellevue, Washington. Approximately 85% of his practice is devoted to Social Security and SSI claims, with the remainder divided between worker's compensation, estate planning, and probate. Mr. Clark began his career as a general practitioner, office sharing with an established law firm in Bellevue. ROBERT A. FRIEDMAN is the principal of Robert A. Friedman & Associates, P.S., where his areas of practice include securities law and Social Security. He has helped thousands of clients qualify for benefits under the Social Security and SSI (Supplemental Security Income), Veterans, and RRB (Railroad Retirement Board) disability programs. Mr. Friedman represents Social Security, Disability and SSI claimants in Washington and Alaska, and disabled veterans and RRB claimants throughout the U.S. He earned his B.A. degree from the University of Michigan and his J.D. degree from the University of Washington. Mr. Friedman is a member of the Washington State and Alaska bar associations, and the U.S. District Courts for the Western District of Washington. JENIPHER GAFFNEY is a certified rehabilitation counselor and mental health counselor. She is a nationally certified rehabilitation counselor (CRC), and is registered as a vocational rehabilitation counselor (VRC) and provider in Washington, Alaska, and with the Department of Veteran's Affairs. Ms. Gaffney is a nationally board certified vocational expert (Diplomat - American Board of Vocational Experts), and is called upon as an expert witness in cases involving permanent disability, personal injury, wrongful termination, medical malpractice, employment discrimination, marital dissolution, and workers' compensation. She has provided expert witness testimony for the Social Security Office of Disability Adjudication and Review (ODAR) since 1992. Ms. Gaffney is a licensed mental health counselor (WA), and is a nationally certified counselor (NCC). She earned her bachelor's degree in social work from Eastern Washington University, and her master's degree in counseling psychology from Gonzaga University. AMY GILBROUGH is a partner at Douglas, Drachler, McKee & Gilbrough, LLP, where she practices in the areas of Social Security disability benefits for individuals at all levels of appeal through the 9th Circuit. She earned her B.A. degrees from Seattle University and the University of Washington and her J.D. degree from Lewis and Clark Law School. After completing law school, Ms. Gilbrough accepted a position at the Social Security Administration, writing decisions for administration law judges. In 1999, she moved to SSA's Office of the General Counsel, where she represented the agency in the Federal District Courts and the 9th and 11th Circuits, drafting legal opinions on the finer points of Social Security Law. Ms. Gilbrough is a sustaining member of the National Organization for Social Security Claimants - Representatives (NOSSCR) and a member of the King County Bar Association. She presents on new issues in Social Security practice at the Circuit 9 Conference, a yearly conference limited to Social Security attorneys who have been practicing more than five years. Ms. Gilbrough was a presenter at the King County Bar Association's Social Security Boot Camp in 2010. She presented the ethics portion of a Social Security seminar for National Business Institute in 2008. TODD R. RENDA is an attorney in Tacoma, Washington, where his areas of practice include Social Security disability, long-term disability, workers' compensation, and personal injury. He earned his B.A. degree from Brigham Young University and his J.D. degree from the University of Puget Sound. Mr. Renda is a member of the Washington State Bar Association, the Pierce County Bar, and the Washington State Trial Lawyers Association. He has conducted training seminars on the topic of Social Security. SANDRA WIDLAN is a Social Security disability attorney at the law firm of Schroeter Goldmark & Bender in Seattle, Washington. She has represented hundreds of clients at all stages of the administrative process and in federal court. Ms. Widlan joined Schroeter Goldmark & Bender in 1996, and is a shareholder in the firm. She began her legal career as a law clerk to Chief Justice Barbara Durham of the Washington Supreme Court. Ms. Widlan earned her bachelor's degree from Northwestern University and her law degree from New York University.
