BRIAN E. LAWLER is a principal of the Socius Law Group PLLC, where his practice focuses on real estate, land development and related environmental matters. He is a licensed instructor of real estate agents in Washington and has been a speaker on real estate and land use development issues for legal and other professional groups. Mr. Lawler has been an adjunct faculty member at the University of Washington, Foster School of Business. He attended Dartmouth College and earned his A.B. degree from the University of California at Berkeley and his J.D. degree from Georgetown University Law Center. Mr. Lawler has served on legal committees for the Association of General Contractors (AGC), the Building Industry Association of Washington (BIAW), and the Puget Soundkeeper Alliance. He is a member of the State Bar of California and the King County, Washington State and American bar associations. MICHAEL A. NESTEROFF is a shareholder in the Seattle office of Lane Powell PC, where his main areas of practice are real estate litigation, environmental law, and commercial litigation. Mr. Nesteroff is chair of the Lane Powell Sustainability and Climate Change Team. He has represented several major oil companies in environmental litigation and claims involving cleanups of contaminated properties, and has also advised clients on matters involving natural resources damages, the Endangered Species Act and restoration planning. Mr. Nesteroff was lead counsel for a consortium of natural gas and liquids pipelines in litigation involving the Washington State Public Records Act. He is admitted to practice in Washington and Oregon, including the U.S. District Courts for the Western and Eastern Districts of Washington and the District of Oregon. Mr. Nesteroff has written numerous articles on environmental and climate change issues and has spoken at seminars on subjects such as commercial leasing, climate change, road and access law and ground leasing. He earned his B.A. degree, cum laude, in communications from Washington State University and his J.D. degree from Seattle University, formerly University of Puget Sound. KINNON W. WILLIAMS is the managing partner of the law firm of Williams & Williams PSC, in Bothell, Washington. Mr. Williams practices in the areas of condemnation, eminent domain, real estate, municipal law, mediation and arbitration. He has extensive speaking and trial experience in the area of eminent domain and has coauthored the most recent chapter on eminent domain in the Washington Real Property Deskbook Series. Mr. Williams is a graduate of the National Institute of Trial Advocacy and earned his B.A. degree from the University of Washington and his J.D. degree from the University of Oregon. He also is on the Board of the WSBA Solo and Small Practice Section, is an incoming Co-Chair of the KCBA Judicial Screening Committee, and is on the Board of the Evergreen Hospital Health Care Foundation.
