HEIDI ANDERSON is an attorney with Lane Powell Spears Lubersky, where she concentrates her practice in the financial institution and commercial finance industries, with an emphasis on bankruptcy and commercial litigation. Her litigation practice focuses on the enforcement of creditor's rights and remedies, including bankruptcy representation, receiverships and out-of-court workouts, and the representation of financial institutions in commercial litigation matters in both federal and state court. Prior to joining Lane Powell Spears Lubersky, Ms. Anderson was in-house counsel to a Fortune 500 manufacturing company, responsible for the negotiation and preparation of commercial agreements and leases and advising on general corporate legal matters. She is a member of the Washington State Bar Association and is admitted to practice in Washington. Ms. Anderson earned her B.A. degree, with honors, from the University of Wisconsin and her J.D. degree, cum laude, from Seattle University School of Law. LYNN H. ARENDS is both an attorney and designated broker with Lynn Arends Law Group PLLC & Lynn Arends Realty Group. Her practice is in the area of pre- and post-foreclosure workouts and frequently involves repayment/forbearance plans, loan modifications and short sale transactions. Ms. Arends recently served on the Department of Licensing/Real Estate Commission Short Sale Task Force. She is active in a number of legal and civic organizations and is a speaker at seminars, including the Washington State Bar Association, King County Bar Association, and various real estate offices (Windermere, John L. Scott and Keller Williams). Ms. Arends also is an instructor with the Washington Association of Realtors. She offers Clock Hour classes to Realtors throughout the state. Ms. Arends is a member of the Washington State Bar Association (Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section); King County Bar Association (Bankruptcy Law Section and Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section); and a member of the Commercial Brokers Association. JOHN S. DEVLIN III is an attorney with Lane Powell Spears Lubersky, where he serves as chair of the firms mortgage and consumer vinance litigation industry team and is a member of the firm's securities class action, and financial institutions practice groups. In these positions, he combines his leadership skills as a former U.S. Army Airborne Ranger and West Point graduate with his extensive complex commercial litigation experience to assist clients faced with a myriad of litigation issues. Mr. Devlin has tried over 30 bench and jury trials in state and federal court, and arbitrations governed by the UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules, the rules of the American Arbitration Association, and in the London Court of International Arbitration. Additionally, he has represented directors and officers of financial institutions and corporations during internal investigations and in litigation. Mr. Devlin has a great deal of experience with class action and mass tort cases involving various medical and other products. In representing national and regional financial institutions, he has handled class actions arising under the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO), the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA), Truth in Lending Act (TILA), Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), and various state consumer protection acts. Mr. Devlin has also litigated the claims of lenders nationwide that have lien interests on real property seized by the U.S. Government pursuant to the Supplemental Admiralty Rules of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure. In handling litigation involving various clients and opposing parties located in Japan, Portugal, Mexico, Ecuador, Barbados, Nevis & St. Kitts, Brazil, and the United Kingdom, he has developed expertise with various multi-lateral treaties governing international discovery, service of process, and enforcement of arbitral awards, including the Convention on the Recognition and Enforcement of Foreign Arbitral Awards, the Inter-American Convention on International Commercial Arbitration, the Hague Convention on the Service Abroad of Judicial and Extra-judicial Documents, and the Inter-American Convention on Letters Rogatory. RHONNA KOLLENKARK is an attorney with Robinson Tait, P.S., where her practice focuses on the representation of lenders, servicers and foreclosure trustees in civil litigation involving high risk real property. She has broad experience in a variety of matters including homeowners' association liens, bad faith lending disputes, easements, title claim and curative work, and regulatory compliance. Ms. Kollenkark earned her B.A. degree from Carroll College and her J.D. degree from Seattle University School of Law. JOE SOLSENG is vice-president of Robinson Tait, P.S. He is licensed to practice in Alaska, Arizona, California, Montana, Nevada, and Washington and has significant trial and litigation experience in all aspects of default-related legal matters. Mr. Solseng has extensive experience with both Nevada pre-foreclosure mediations and Washington's new pre-foreclosure mediation statute. He earned his undergraduate degree from Columbia University and his J.D. degree from Seattle University School of Law. ANDREW G. YATES is an attorney with Lane Powell Spears Lubersky, where he focuses his practice on commercial and business litigation, with an emphasis on banking, real estate and regulatory matters. He is a member of the firms appellate group, business crisis management and emergency remedies group, litigation, long term care and seniors housing client service team, mortgage and consumer finance group, and real estate litigation group.
