STEVEN B. BOYD is a principal of Amicus Law Group, PC, and a leader in the estates and trusts practice. Mr. Boyd brings a strong tax background to the estate and individual planning services. He also advises the clients on tax and business planning. Mr. Boyd was also a regular lecturer at Deloitte's national tax conferences. He received his J.D. degree from Seattle University School of Law and his LL.M. degree from the University of Washington School of Law. CLAUDIA A. GOWAN, a member with the law firm Reed, Longyear, Malnati & Ahrens, PLLC, concentrates her practice in the areas of estate and wealth transfer planning, income and estate tax planning, probate, trust and estate administration, as well as providing services in elder law and business formations in the estate planning arena. She counsels individuals, couples and closely held businesses regarding their personal planning needs. Ms. Gowan is a guest speaker at continuing legal education seminars and other professional service forums, and writes on issues relevant to her field of law. She received her law degree from Gonzaga University School of Law and a Master of Laws in Taxation from the University of Washington School of Law. WALTER Q. IMPERT is a partner in the Seattle law firm of Dorsey & Whitney LLP, where he focuses his practice in the areas of estate planning and probate, including tax planning, trusts and family business entities. Mr. Impert is a frequent presenter to attorneys, CPAs and other legal and tax professionals. He is admitted to practice in Washington and California. Mr. Impert earned his B.A. degree, with honors, from Occidental College and his J.D. degree from UCLA School of Law. JANE J. VOGET, is the managing partner of VogetLaw Inc., a Washington law corporation. In 1990 Jane graduated from Northwestern School of Law, Lewis and Clark College in Portland, Oregon and has been practicing law since her admission to the Washington Bar in June 1991. Prior to that time she worked in local, state and federal government advising elected officials on public policy to help revitalize downtowns and small communities and to assist people with limited income. In addition to giving private seminars on estate planning with CPA, Gene Russell CPA and a financial planner, Jordan Pomeroy of Edward Jones, Jane has worked in aspects of elder law and has been involved in a few contested will and trust situations. Jane has written for the Washington State Bar Association Real Property Deskbook and has been co-chief author for the "Land Use Chapter" of the Washington Lawyers Practice Manual from 2001-2009. Ms. Voget has also been a speaker at other National Business Institute events on ethics and family law.
