ALFRED E. DONOHUE is an attorney in the Seattle law firm of Wilson Smith Cochran Dickerson, where he focuses on construction defect litigation, personal injury litigation and insurance policy interpretation. He also has background and experience in employment law and real estate matters. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Donohue was an attorney with Forsberg & Umlauf, P.S., and served as a law clerk to the Honorable William W. Baker on the Washington State Court of Appeals. FORSBERG is a shareholder in the Seattle law firm of Forsberg & Umlauf, P.S., where his practice emphasizes complex litigation, including insurance defense, first- and third-party coverage issues, and the defense of alleged bad faith matters. He earned his undergraduate degree from Gonzaga University and his law degree from Pepperdine University School of Law. Mr. Forsberg enjoys teaching trial practice skills, and regularly participates as an instructor for the National Institute of Trial Advocacy, for trial practice and deposition skills training seminars, and as an adjunct professor teaching trial practice skills at the University of Washington School of Law. BRADLEY W. HOFF is a member in the law firm of Foster Pepper PLLC, where he is chair of the insurance coverage group. His practice emphasis is in representing policyholders in insurance coverage matters, including analyzing and pursuing coverage claims, related coverage and bad faith litigation dispute resolution, and risk management counseling. Mr. Hoff also has experience in other general commercial litigation, including construction-related litigation and complex securities litigation. Mr. Hoff has been named a "Rising Star" by Washington Law & Politics. During law school, he was a judicial extern for the Honorable Dale B. Ramerman - King County Superior Court. Mr. Hoff is admitted to practice in the state of Washington and before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit, the U.S. District Court (Western District of Washington and Eastern District of Washington). He is a member of the American, Washington State and King County bar associations. Mr. Hoff earned his B.A. degree in accounting, cum laude, from the University of Washington and his J.D. degree, cum laude, from Georgetown University Law Center. RICHARD B. KILPATRICK practices with his oldest daughter who recently joined the firm after clerking for the Honorable Debra Stevens at the Washington Supreme Court. Their office is located in Bellevue, handling trial and appeal of insurance coverage or insurance bad faith claims, matters involving lawyers and the law of lawyering, and substantial personal injury claims. Mr. Kilpatrick was a lawyer member of WSBA's Disciplinary Board and was the chair of the Disciplinary Board from 1999-2000. He served for ten years on WSTLA's Amicus Committee, three years on the Washington State Bar's Court Rules Committee and later on the WSBA Professional Responsibility Committee. He has been active in WSAJ and its predecessor, and was co-chair and chair of the Insurance Law Section. Mr. Kilpatrick was appointed by the Supreme Court as a Conflicts Review Officer for the initial screening of ethics complaints against bar or court officials. He acts as an expert witness in insurance and lawyer cases. Mr. Kilpatrick is frequently invited to speak to lawyers at seminars regarding insurance, trial and professional issues. He is regularly listed in The Best Lawyers in America and by Washington Law & Politics as one of the state's so called "Super Lawyers." A competitive nature and substantial tenacity have served him well as predominantly a plaintiff lawyer in Puget Sound since 1976. Mr. Kilpatrick earned his B.A. degree from Montana State University and his J.D. degree from the University of Washington School of Law. After college and before law school, he was a multi-line claims adjuster for Travelers Insurance Company in his native Montana. BRUCE WINCHELL is a shareholder in the Seattle law firm of Mills Meyers Swartling, where he practices in the areas of business litigation, insurance coverage litigation and professional liability litigation. Mr. Winchell primarily represents policyholders in insurance coverage disputes. He has lectured for various professional groups on litigation and insurance coverage issues. Mr. Winchell is a member of the Washington State Bar Association (former chair of the Litigation Section) and the Washington Society of Certified Public Accountants. Mr. Winchell earned his B.A. degree from Southern Illinois University and his J.D. degree from the University of Washington.
